Hatch
LX - $30,540 LX TDCi - $34,540 - New model $4,000 !!!more for diesel Zetec - $35,740 Zetec TDCi - $39,240 $3500 more for diesel Titanium - $42,740 Titanium TDCi - $46,240 $3500 more for diesel so PowerShift is standard then across the range reports was that it was a cost option on the diesel models hmm I think because of the Turbocharge petrol engine missing from the line up Ford tossed in the PowerShift? apstar |

And I'll bet the Ecoboost petrol will not be sold in Oz. Might be time for a trip to the local Ford dealer to see what's planned for NZ. PS Can't help noticing how the diesel wagon was released following the demise of the Falcon wagon. We've had it in NZ for 2 years now.

Another source, probably same story...
http://ninemsn.carpoint.com.au/news/...eo-range-19311 So it's an upgraded 2.0L diesel, not the 2.2L, 400Nm beast previewed in the Mondeo wagon at the motor show a year or two ago? That's a relief, otherwise I might have had to upgrade... ;)

Interesting.
There's two I'm interested in Titanium diesel wagon or hatch. Already have the TDCi with all mod cons, but the extra space might be good. So for me, I've got to stump up either $46,240 for the hatch or $47,740 for the wagon. Before on roads, so add probably another $2K onto those prices (is that about right?). Looking like $48K hatch or $51K wagon. Getting up there. I have a child and probably another on the way (when I upgrade in Jan), so that means I can't lay the seats down unless I take out child seats which I am loathe to do. So (SAE/ISO), seats up hatch: 816 / 528 Seats up wagon: 1005 / 542 Difference: SAE - 189, ISO - 14. Question is, is the extra space worth the extra cost of the wagon over the hatch? Will the sunroof still be standard on the hatch? There's no talk of it with the wagon.

Dusty
I don't think that there's any difference in floor area between the hatch and wagon. The extra space will probably be due to the wider tailgate opening. Of course, you can always get more in a wagon because your load can be above the window line. For example, I can easily carry a decent size Christmas tree in my wagon, which I wouldn't want to try with a hatch.

Agreed, not having a lip really helps. Plus the wagon tailgate gives you much more protection from the rain.

I'm happy to look at the wagon, and it would be my preferred vehicle. Without a cargo barrier in place, I don't like the idea of stacking to the roof.
I like the idea of no lip to get stuff over, although that might encourage the drag across and not the lift over (like the deck of the closed hatch is a handy place to leave the handbag). I've got one of those pull out bumper protectors, and surprise!, I'm the only one who's used it. For the price of the wagon, close to $50K, I could get a Skoda Octavia RS wagon, or even stump up for a *prepare for backlash* a Kia Sorrento Platinum. Re-sale doesn't really worry me as I lease. Anyone know if the sunroof will still be standard on both the hatch and the wagon? I love my sunroof.

I'm just on six foot, and the sunroof would lower the roof by 50 mm or so. Maybe a bit more. My head would probably be a couple of centimetres from the roof now. I have the seat all the way down, and back a bit.
I have it tilted open probably the majority of times. And the cover is always back except when it's really hot, when I will still have it tilted open.

I'm 6'2" and I haven't had any issues with headroom under my sunroof. Granted the seat is set back and low, but I still do adjust the seat height once in a while and it's fine.
Cheers.

How do I get fleet pricing? My lease is a personal one, and I salary sacrifice for it, and it's not tied up with anything else. When I left my previous position, I was novating it, but did so for three months, then it reverted to a straight lease between me and the leasing company.
I have a mate who works at Ford, so I could get Family and Friends, but they only offer that on Australian made cars I think.

Don't know if this positive review has been posted already. This site is usually pretty reliable.

The powershift is standard on the diesel models. So if you select the optional diesel engine, the Powershift comes standard. Alternatively, it's an option on the petrol LX, Zetec or Titanium hatch, and the LX and Zetec petrol wagons. |
