You have a NT drivers license that allows you to drive a motor vehicle in any state in this country. You have a car with Qld rego that allows it to be driven in any state in this country. You spend most of your time in the NT and require the NT license. Your car lives in Qld, I think that's what you said, so has Qld rego. Tell them to go get stuffed, it's harassment. The cost of a solicitor and some proper legal advise would be a small price to pay to stick up the noses of cops carrying on with crap, plus you can afford it so just do it.
