What do the nay-sayers say now?
I recall many saying that a 4 cyl falcon will be a gutless wonder.

believe me, there are people out there who hear '4cyl falcon' and turn up their nose. its a bit like lpg. the new technology in that industry is amazing and yet there are a vast majority of people who hear lpg and think slow taxi fuel. |

It will not be marketed as a 4cyl (in the Falcon) but as Ecoboost.

its all about public perception. the same public that think the holden commodore is 100% australian, and line up in droves to get a piece of it.

What's my bet that, when released, Holden will still brag about their 3.0L being "more powerful than Ford's ECOboost, yet more fuel efficient than a Toyota Aurion"? - or something with that kind of spin. Wouldn't surprise me; it's as believable as Holden thinking they make the best cars on the road (nice one).

Holden can brag all they like so long as it's in past tense...

Would love to see Ecoboost 2.0 I-4 with two extra cylinders,
that would give a 3.0 I-6 with 264 Kw and 505 nm. It is very possible to have your cake and eat it too...... |

Then again it would probably be that much of a grunt monster it would rip itself out of the car.

You're welcome Doc. It's only a matter of time now before we get the same level of equipment - courtesy of "One Ford".
