For it's the FG. I've always been a "Ford man" but I never really wanted to own one until the FG came out. I did like the EB back in the day but not enough to go out and buy one. I really liked the XC Cobra but I was not old enough for a license then.

My favourite is the XE, next is AU. They both have one thing in common, they won't leave you stranded on the side of the road.
I have the best of both worlds, an XE ute with a VCT motor. |

The car that got me into old fords was an Apollo Blue XB GT that I saw at a car show as a young fella. Just fell in love with the shape and it became 'my car' to point out at car shows. That love has seen me buy an XC now, but the GT will reside in my garage one day, and hopefully it's Apollo Blue.
My Grandpa owned an EA Falcon as we were growing up and I think Grandpa and I were the only ones who liked it. Grandpa got me loving Fords, everyone else bats for the red team in my family. He owned an XY GT mockup and traded it for a new V8 XD wagon for the kids and then for the brand new EA. So the EA is a favorite Ford ingrained in my memory. And lastly, just as I was getting old enough to understand cars and car racing was when the AU series was coming out. Who could forget the Lowndes green eyed monster. Once again I was the only one in the family to appreciate it but I loved that car. Got me loving AU XRs and over time I've come to like the simpler models as well. Would love to own a TE50 one day! |

I thought the XC Fairmont GXL was the best styled car, ADR 27 Engines spoiled them. I liked the White with Black Vinyl Roof and also there was Dark Green Colour with a Gold Fleck that looked very good with a Black Vinyl Roof.

My favourite model has always been the XYGT , it doesnt even have to be a HO ,(but a ho would be nice ), as for cars ive owned/own its a toss up , between my two xr`s , a 1967 289 XR that had a bit of work done on it , it would make the hair stand up on the back of my neck every time i started it ,
or my old reliable rock of 11 years that still serves me well .... AU S2 XR6 . |
