2) Governments shouldn't make 'decisions' to tweak legislation to avoid accountability for their own actions to prevent them being accountable for it's own actions, today it's trying to stiff that shyster Clive Palmer, tomorrow it's acting like Silvio Berlusconi

3) If the courts proved the government stiffed Clive then they should be accountable for their actions, the government should never consider itself 'above the law' so YOU will pay for their actions, I suggest you redirect your anger towards the people who allowed this to happen - your own government.

Premier Colin Barnett has said the company's development proposal for Balmoral South had been rejected because it was "manifestly inadequate".

However an arbitration decision, made by former High Court judge Michael McHugh in Perth in May, found Mr Barnett, in his role as Minister for State Development, failed to rule on Mr Palmer's Balmoral South proposal within two months as required by the businessman's State Agreement.

Mr McHugh ordered the State Government pay the arbitration costs and found "the failure of the minister to give a decision within that time means he is liable in damages for any damage that the applicant may have suffered as a result".

Mr Barnett has played down the prospect of hefty damages, suggesting even if the proposal had been properly assessed, it would not have proceeded.

However he accepted it should have been formally assessed before being rejected.

So basically the State government didn't play by its own rules and opened itself up to legal action - seems to be a common occurrence with WA State Governments.

Here's a good reminder to all to DO YOUR ****ING JOB PROPERLY.

The previous state government couldn't be ****ed abiding by its own guidelines and the current government has passed legislation to protect itself from adverse action - wow what a great start you guys are off to, next you'll have concentration camps.

One things for certain, the matter regarding the border closures will now definitely head to the High Court.

Justice Rangiah said “the court's findings were only concerned with "the health risks posed by COVID-19 to the Western Australian community" and the court could not "take into account any economic, social or other consequences of COVID-19 or the border restrictions."

This is not a ruling on the Constitutionality of the border closure. Watch this space.
