While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

Female friend of mine actually told me this on Saturday night, went to a job interview on the Sunshine Coast. The interviewer (who was married) asked her out to dinner, not once but twice.

When she asked if he had even really considered her for the job, he said no!
His mind was elsewhere apparently....

i know it's still low, but employers have at least some sembelance of choice about who they hire these days, rather than 'i just can't get anyone!' of three years ago

this is obviously region and industry dependant too

Yes it sucks however I could not even remember the amount of Jobs I have applied for in my time that I did not get when in my opinion I was the best qualified & experienced person that applied

So you told us what you have done but what was this Job that you applied for?

Just a straight up admin job...the job description was basic admin - no surprises, and even if by some stretch there were some...I wouldn't have applied for it if I didn't think I could do it...

I've used quite a few recruitment agencies in the past, and it's fairly true that here in WA most of the best workers are already working, or up in the mines earning megabucks.
I'd give Quasimodo a job if he can drive a forklift better than some of the muppets I've had
