I am not joking. To attain a silver class licence you drive an unmarked car around the state with no lights or sirens going, in traffic at speeds up to 140kmph. Obviously speeds like this are only reached in 100+km zones. The course includes mock pursuits, off the road, obstacles courses at Avalon, and many stops at Bakeries through out Victoria.

The scariest part is when you are driving along country dirt roads at night and the instructor is saying, go faster. To my knowledge the only accidents in these sort of conditions that have occurred involve kangaroos.

By yourself as in with no other cars on the track - No.

At the end of the day we had a reverse grid race based on some times we’d done earlier. There wouldn’t normally be that many cars on the track at once. Don’t worry, its all safe. And you get HEAPS of track time! Its great!
