No worries Shagger...you know you have a place to stay, the beer is cold but the women are colder :

I cant lie, I have been pricing the new pursuit.............I think the 290 club needs a new member. What the bank manager says may be a different thing.......
A 290? Just got the new Dyno. What's going on man? You won tattslotto and not told me. give me some so i can get the funny car running. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

Right on! here it is, tour de Australia, 260 style.

First, vic boys rock over to bradmans house in SA, party up at the joplin bar, maybe check out my bikie mates at the Gepps cross hotel, and then race at AIR.

Then, road trip to Vic, BBQ, beers etc at my place, Calder and heathcote (double header day nighter) and try to follow ORSM on the road.

Then, up to sydney, sydney boys (myV8 xrqtor, rich460 and the wademan) polish of some ls1's at the WSID.......

then up to MY HOME TRACK, willowbank, where I want to see Blueblood's 1.7 60 in person!! (you are the man)

Dont tempt me to make this road trip work - my ol' mate sly xr8 is a sly bugger, and he thinks a national 260 conference for some races, laughs and fun (and chewing some ls1 ***) could be a good thing!!

thoughts anyone? a national 260 road trip? is it possible? are we all mates enough to make it work??

I think so!

Be good to catch up again , a quick Q are you looking at doing some tunes over this way for the SA , BA /AU Guys ?

if so we could move brad back in, open the bar and get our pushbikes for the occassion.

cheers

Funny you mentioned that Shagger....I was having a chat to Wade on the phone yesterday and suggested a get together at somewhere central ( I was thinking Murray Bridge initially) say Albury where the Vic, NSW and SA boys could all catch up and have a few "softdrinks" over a weekend.

Was thinking early next year sometime.....thoughts anyone ?

Someone suggested to me over the weekend True Unopened 260 is not Chris but one of his customers... Personally I wouldn't have any idea, you're all to busy running quicker each time for me to keep up.
Still how about quickest time with NO mods 260 & 290? Wearing in the factory computer should theoretically net a few tenths from bog stock... Any contenders?

Have a look at the LS1 camp, there's talk about some unopened cars not being totally unopened, but nobody checks them.
The only way I can see would be like they do in speedway, have the engines scrutineered then sealed. I suppose they would then be classed as opened, but all running to a set of rules. The fact is that no one is going to go to that extreme on what remain principally their street cars. You could just as legitimately argue that the class could be classified by dollars spent or hours in the workshop. Or even using car audio classes, where workshop owners and employees with shop backing are classed as pro and paying customers as amateur. With all the vagueries that exist within unofficial terms like "opened" and "unopened", bragging rights and self satisfaction are all that can be achieved in their name.

Having said that, the more people chasing targets, the stiffer the competition will be. That can only be a good thing for those of us who follow the church of the blue oval. Let's not lose sight of the common enemy and rejoice in the achievements of our blue blooded brethren

C'mon Chris what's wrong with a little healthy dose of trivia between friends? I'm not suggesting to runa meet... just think back amongst yourselves who ran what times with the above mentioned mods. I reckon I could think of a couple, but then I'll be the first to admit I find out about most people's times from their respective forums.
