depends on what you get mine weren't Ebay crap they came from a reputable trade supplier and IMO they suit my car ( black lights on a dark car) there are some real shockers and I know someone who bought the Ebay nasties and had dramas with leaking . mine have been in for 2 years now and still no trouble .
If you don't like them don't fit them but some of us like to be a bit different Quote:

i want to get the black ones for my red XR6...saw one the other day with them on...looked really good i reckon esp with the dark tint...just need to get rid of my std 17's for some gtp 19's and it will look even better.
BTW they are called altezza's because the car that started this craze was the Altezza RS200/300 (known as the IS200/300 in Aus)...thats what a jap crap parts supplier told me and makes sence...

Sinclair Ford(who suck IME) in Penrith had a Force8 on their showroom floor about 2 months ago. It was black, with black altezza style taillights.
I could not believe that they would cheapen their 'executive' car like that! It looked alright, but the car is worth a few hundred dollars less, without genuine Ford tail-lights. That just offends me for some reason. : |

Personally I would never get them. The certain ones for older cars look like washed out water leakage lights- like what happens to the VN commo.
My mate has them on his VT commodore- they look shithouse becuase they dont match up to the continious reverse lights on the boot lid. No thanks- no ebay plastics for me. Last edited by paul_r_d; 17-01-2008 at 01:15 AM. |

On fords & holdens yes I cringe :
On a nice jap car (Honda) they look good, As long as it's not the only mod. It's got to suit the rest of the car. |

Lukey's car looks bloody nice with the Altezzas.
It depends on the car, the colour and other mods. With the rims and the gunmetal grey, the Altezzas look really good. On another colour scheme, they'd look terrible.

I was at the gym yesterday and i looked around at the carpark and there were altezzas everywhere. VT-VX Commodores, AU Falcons, BA falcons.
I walked in and cleaned house in the gym, I had to beat up about 15 people in there. They all promised they would remove their altezzas and return to standard lights. |
