Hey Mitchay, Im a Canberra boy myself, and hey all, Bought my first 1990 TX5 2.2 F2 last year after the write off of my XF Falcon and have been wanting to do it up ever since, looking at so many other TX5 owners and what they have done just blows me away, and just makes me wish I could put the money into it. I probably will end up doing it even tho I should put my money into other things. Im not huge up on mechanics but have been learning a bit as I go along so if I sound stupid and have no idea, now you know. Have a good one guys

Lol i have no idea either. Ill probably get rid of mine for a Type R integra and when i get the money i will do up a beast TX5 if i can. I like the silver one thats been posted in this thread somewhere and its exactly what i wanted to do with mine but as my car is lookin pretty bad cosmetically i would have to fork out to fix that up first before i do any engine work and then it would become quite pointless.

If you lucky enough to have bought one that is in good nick to start with and wasnt damaged (by the bushfires DAMN IT. Hot ash burnt through the clear coat) then like TX5 GT said you can drop in a FE3 motor and hes sent me a vid with one in it.

I counted 0-100 in 7secs take away wheelspin and u have a 6sec car. Then whack a turbo on it and id say ud do 5secs easily and eat commodores and falcons so that would be sweet.

Theres a KC laser in the time slip data base that pulled a 14.4 in NA form and is 66 out of 111 as far as how many people who have put times in goes. Mate boot the outta it and see what you can get out of it.

I hate bling, i like the stealth look, but when u have a champagne coloured car with chrome trimming its hard to look stealth. My old tx5 looked evil. silver over dark grey 2 tone, black trimmings, so fast it pinned u to the seat!

But is it actually noticable. My mate had an option in his early 80s TX5 but i think that only stiffened it not lowered it.

Can anybody tell me what kind of economy you boys are getting in the TX5 turbo's?

Where can I find some specifications on the net?

PM Dion (TX5 GT) he should know everything you wanna know.

As for fuel consumption mines a non turbo and uses about 9lt/100km being flogged in peak hour traffic so its pretty good if its anything as a guide. If i dont open the throttle I hardly use anything.
