I consciously look for this behaviour if I'm heading to Launceston from Ulverstone or further, about 120klm drive. My trick then is to drop back a short distance so I appear "not to be a threat", & when I know there's an overtaking opportunity coming in the next few k's, I'll bide my time....gradually get closer again... & then POUNCE!!! The problem that my actions create though is that then I become "their challenge". Often they'll catch me again in 10 to 15 k's, tailgate me & pass me again. At some point you just have to be the bigger man & let them go. Chances are there's someone following them too just waiting for a chance to show the world that THEY can get in the lead. LOL...let'em go. I try not to be competitive, I really do try, but if you subconsciously lay down that type of challenge, or you're are simply not paying attention to what you're doing, then I might as well open up 6000rpm of 4.0L fuel injected grunt & leave you in my wake sucking cat' fumes!!! Why is it I do this....'CAUSE IT'S DAMN FUN!!! |

Why is it I get so much enjoyment when...
...I'm in a long line of cars on a single lane highway, an overtaking lane appears & 99% of the cars in front floor it to grab the checkered flag! The up side of being in the back of a queue, you get to watch the mayhem unfold. |

Why is it that I have never opened a can and found worms in it.
I've never even seen a can with worms in it.

Why is it people fall for crap products like the NutriBullet? The human digestive system does the same thing.

Exactly...I'm always amazed that people think that the foods you chew up and swallow must somehow make it past the concentrated hydrocloric acid in our stomachs and go on through in big lumps instead of being the horrifying broken down mush they actually leave the stomach as...

The public basically always looks for "the easy answer". Don't bother with pesky diets and exercise...use this upside down drinks mixer and drink a "nurti-blast" every day and it will "supercharge" your body! Just remember to add tiny fine print in the advert saying "combined with a kilo-joule controlled diet and exercise program" and you're golden to sell your crap to the public looking for a quick fix! |

why is it that my fave drop jack daniels is 700ml now and not 750ml?
why is it that panadol thats usually needed the next day is in packs of 20 now and not 24? why is it that we pay the same price now than what we did then? why is it that the older i get the longer my bloody arms have to be to read something? why is it that it takes me 10 bloody mins to remember what i did 5 mins ago? why is it that some fool allowed coles and woolworths to get their greedy hands into the petrol industry? im off to the servo now to pay top dollar for my fuel that i put in my car on the way to the bottl'o to buy my under sized, over priced plonk which will probably result in popping a few panadol out of the undersized, overpriced pack thats if ive got enough left.im trying to remember where i put my bloody glasses so i can check though.

Why is it that man could send people to the moon using a primitive computer yet this 'super computer' (compared to late 1960s technology) I am using is always giving me grief even when trying to do the basic things?

Why is it that alot of pre 80's european and asian cars have their external mirrors down on the front corners of the front guards? What bright spark thought that was a good idea?

Maybe, to a degree, but it also reduces your rearward field of view to the equivelent of looking through a keyhole and the small round mirrors would be worse than the rectangular ones.

Why is it that processed food claim they have no artificial colours or flavours but when one inspects the contents label it list substances such as colour 100 or flavour 600?

Why is it a crime to have a lowered car? What's the logic? I asked the cop this the other day as he handed me an invitation to donate several hundered $$ to the gov. He said ask the RTA. I have coil over suspension which he interpreted as 'cut springs', big sway bars, fat tread but apparently my car has a 'major defect'. my logic is it handles and grips 10 times better than when it came out of the factory, yet according to the police it's death trap? How about pulling over the young women you see everywhere on bald cheese cutters, floating around on shagged out stock shocks and running 12psi? I couldn't help but get angry as it's over a weeks pay to pay the ticket and I really have done nothing wrong
