Yeah wouldn't surprise me if it's the same bloke. I got the impression that he lived somewhere close by, because it was just a Tuesday arvo, not in holiday season or weekend, just going to the posty. I see some Astons and a Lambo once around but there normally on sunny long weekends or other tourist times, so pass them off as a guest from Sydney.

Firstly, in about 95 or 96 I ran out of fuel near Grong Grong NSW at about midnight. I slept in the car and at about sunrise i heard a car coming so I hopped out and flagged him down. It was an old guy, obviously a cocky, in a new at the time Fairlane. I jumped in the front seat which was covered in grass, dirt and other ****, noticing a fairly rich odour. THEN, had a look in the back seat and fmd, there was goat **** and hair and dirt and blood and all sorts of ****!! Brand New Fairlane!!!

Secondly, there seems to be heaps of told you so's and must be rights on here. FFS the thread was created to highlight unusual pairings of cars and drivers, regardless of their financial status etc etc.
Who cares if the dude in the flanno and thongs owns a multi-million $$ property portfolio, the point is he looks funny hopping out of the Lambo and not a XF ute.

Saw a dog sitting in the drivers seat of a mini moke at a petrol station..

I'll admit I was a little dissapointed when the owner got back in and drove.

Would of been awesome to see the little fella drive away

Many moons ago I worked at servo take-away and was often surprised at some of the odd pairings of driver and car. One stinking summers day a rotten old "feral" Hilux pulls up and the woman who got out of it looked and was dressed like Daisy Duke... albeit with stilettos.

If she had a gun I would have claimed her ;)

There was a story told about a car dealership on this forum not long ago. The new cadet was wandering around the yard when a bloke walks in wearing paint covered clothes, looking all shabby. The salesmen told the cadet not to bother, he wouldn't buy anything. Cadet goes to speak with him anyway and ends up selling him a brand new car while all the salesmen watch hahah

True story. He was probably taller than you , then. I'm 5'10" and he was a full head or so taller than me, and built like a country s-house. Had some flab, but did powerlifting.

This was about 18 years ago, and my memory of the car is sketchy, but I'm fairly certain he sat in the back (unless he re-mounted the driver's seat, which is a more likely scenario). I never rode with him but a mate of mine did.

Yep, happened to a friend of mine. He walked into BMW ready to drop a few hundred grand in his work gear (smelly polo shirt and jeans). They took no notice of him. He walked around the lot for a good 30 mins without even one bit of service.

He then walked into the Mercedes dealership next door and a young bloke sold him an SL63 AMG. Cop that, BMW.

But anyway, back on topic. Me driving my sister's Green fiesta to get serviced. Definitely got some stares!

Stopped in to the Alfa dealership on the way home from work one day, still in my overalls, just to have a look around. In there for a good 20 mins, and could see a suited guy keeping an eye on me. Eventually he tells the front counter girl to come over and take care of me, she goes through the speil..."beautiful car, hey, expensive... blah, blah" She looked a little smug when I told her I was interested in a late model demo they had, asked me if I had a trade ,and when I showed her the Alfa I had driven up in outside, she nearly broke some sort of land speed record to get the uppity salesman, who proceeded to cover me like a rash!!
Another time, I'm in said Alfa with the kids L plates still in situ, driving around with the dog perched up on the front seat. Pull up at a set of lights and the copper who pulled up next to me shot of a quick rebuke for having the L's still on,without either of the kids in the drivers seat...Told the copper I only had another 20 hours to go and I could sit my test, old Iggy(dog) was doing a great job getting me through, and the coppers near pi$$ed themselves

A mate used to borrow his girlfriends car pretty often, a Charade with tinted windows and the plates "SHAZ" and some number.
Out driving if you looked out the back window you'd see (mostly) P plate commodores breaking the sound barrier trying to catch up. They'd be in and out of traffic, just about taking to the footpath and median strip in order to get along side.
My mate's the spitting image of the wrestler Bill Goldberg, bald, big beard, and with big sleeves on his bigger arms.
When they pulled up at the lights and stared straight in the front windows at "Shaz" the looks on their faces were priceless.

I would have to say myself. I deal with high net worth individuals, dress in nice suits, have nice shoes and ties aswell. The way i dress, people at work assumed I would drive and Audi or a BMW, but get pretty shocked when I jump in my bright red XR. Actually one guy was shocked that I commented on his HZ GTS, expecting that I would'nt be into that type of car.

just remembered this one.

im 6 foot 5 and 125kg and my old man is 6 foot 2 and 120kg (i call him short).
well my sister used to have a mazda 121 bubble that was purple and sometimes it would be the only car left at home and we would roll in it for the day.
interesting site as our shoulders would touch and our legs made it hard to change gears.
we looked like the incredibles

Had a road rage incident a few years ago..
One of those things when both cars claim the same lane..
No big deal I let the old red H.Q have his way..
Then next thing I know at the red lights he's shadow boxing asking me
to have a go...The lights turned green and he wouldn't let me go...
So I jumped out of the Charade I was driving.. His eyes went as big as dinner plates..
I'm 5'10 and built like a front rower..
I guess he assumed a little guy would be driving a 1000cc 3cyl Charade..
He was the worse for wear when he got home... He was breathing but a sleep when I left..

I've seen a few older blokes (i'd estimate 60+) getting round in WRX's and S15's, it's so odd to see them driving these type of cars. I remember seeing one getting up an S15, made me laugh in a good way, as in '**** yeah what a mad fella'

There's a photo from 2003 Melbourne Motor show that I am trying to find in which there are two rather large fellows in a car that just dont quite match.
(Those oldies originating from FF.com, will know what I am referring to, I really hope someone still has that picture)

I'm a mismatch to the car when I'm driving my wifes 2yo Corolla.

A bloke in a van decided to aggressively tailgate me early one morning while driving the 'rolla (Eastern Freeway, middle lane @100km/h). He most certainly did not expect to see a big ugly caucasian behind the wheel!!
