the link simply said that detection of unregistered vehicles had significantly increased since the sticker-less system was introduced, which co-incides with this new technology designed to detect unregistered vehicles quickly and autonomously. This makes perfect sense and doesn't suggest it's due to people 'forgetting' to pay their rego due to the sticker-less system. It simply suggests the new tech is picking up more unregistered heaps that were most likely already unregistered prior to the the sticker-less system.
