The word homophobic has changed as well to mean anyone who does not embrace such fully and totally. The word racist, well nothing is wrong with such a point at all because if you have the ability to comprehend who is who and understand differences in culture is not a problem unless you are a Socialist or Communist. "Racial prejudice" now that is totally different story and such a person is a moron who knows nothing of what he is talking about and is sprouting just brain dead rubbish. Trump is not offensive, he has the 2ed highest IQ of any President in the USA and the only person who could pull the USA out of the spiral of blatant stupidity and decay of where the USA has been led for years by every President from J Bush on, it's been down hill morally and ripped off totally and people who can't see that are fools. Good leadership can happen to offend fools, be it in business etc. Go join the Army and see if you may get offended, you sure will be and it's all for your own good, not to mention all those in the Army you are serving with, without such offending discipline it would be a tow rag group of fools with no self-control. Offending simpletons and ratbags is a virtue. |

What are we going to have from now on ? people protesting 24/7 with every leader, trying to drag them down, that's how the Nazi and Communist mobs acted and they were too brainwashed to comprehend the cunning of who or what it was that led them to be such fools that they ended up as slaves to such a Government peddling a utopia. |

What I find interesting about these threads is how many people are appalled by something and saying the country has gone down the toilet, that such and such a group is to blame blah blah. But I'm guessing the huge majority has not made an appointment with their local government rep to make their opinion known.
If even a small percentage of people who whinge about some new change brought on by a minority group (who by the way got themselves organised and put forth their argument as a united front) actually stopped spending all their time complaining on social media, forums etc and got together a group to lobby the local government reps. I wonder how many of these changes could have been more widely discussed and altered to better reflect all opinions instead on one side...

Hmmm, gender Identification ... which government would be the first to offer incentives to humans to have all gender identifying body features removed ?
By and large we is either boy or girl, and if we choose not to be identified by either then they could allow the option just for such people. |

I'm not quite sure what an American President, Nazi's (Godwins law?) communists and the defence force has to do with Qld licenses.
So back on topic please.

Hospitals have M or F or I if you don't want to identify as M or F. I stands for "I Indeterminate, Individuals are categorized either by themselves or by society as neither man or women."

Queensland Removes Gender from Drivers Licences.
The OP posted an opinion piece from "60 starts at sixty". That article quoted a report from the Courier Mail as its source. The Courier Mail article refers to a claimed leaked document from the Department of transport as its source. The Courier Mail claims a leaked document from the Department of transport include “TMR has received complaints and suggestions from members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex community about displaying gender/sex (M or F) on TMR cards.” The Courier Mail (and many others) then makes the leap that Queensland removed gender from Drivers Licences because of complaints made by the LGBTI community. Therefore the majority of the population have to bow to the wishes of a minority group. Therefore this is another example of political correctness gone mad! What if the original source for this outrage was a beat-up? Specifically; -When asked the Department of transport said complaints from the LGBTI community was not the reason for the change. -This is old news, all new and renewed Queensland licences have been gender-free since October 2016, but TMR continues to collect and record information on gender when a person applies for a licence. -Queensland is just moving in line with the rest of Australia, it's the last State to remove gender for their licence. -The department responsible said the primary drivers for the move to scrap the information were amendments to the Commonwealth Sex Discrimination Act in 2013 and the improvement of biometric imaging and facial recognition technologies. -Improvements in technology means information that identifies an individual can be readily accessed in other ways. For example, police have 24-7 access to this information, including the digital photograph as it appears on the licence, through QLite tablet devices.

Don't really care but, wondering how having M or F on a licence has anything to do with sex discrimination.

The issue is not about what sex is or isn't on your license but the apparent caving in (yet again) to the demands of the bat****e crazy minorities...

I noticed that when completing USI application form online. I decided I'd identify with Torres Straight Islander/Aboriginal as my heritage when completing the registration.

How will I know my gender if it isn't shown on my license? If Doctors can't determine a person's gender correctly by looking at their genitals then what hope do I have?

I think the Government needs to go further. Imagine you are a citizen person who gets pulled over by a police person for a routine traffic stop. And you don't want them to know if you have a gender or not....
1. But your license says your name is Abigail, or Bruce Smith. No good at all, really need to do away with gender specific names, or only have surnames on licenses. Sam and Reg are two which could assist in confusing police persons. 2. However, assuming A. Smith is pretty (can I even say that), or B. Smith is a beefcake, the police person might still have some inkling as to the gender of the citizen person. Then police person might even address then as ma'am or sir - the horror! 3. Then, if A. or B. Smith did a runner because they were driving a stolen car the police person would have to put out an APB. Unfortunately this is already a clue to gender as male citizen persons are more likely to steal cars, where female citizen persons would be more likely to steal handbags... Now B Smith might in fact be a large man of African appearance, i.e. and might be white, or black, and wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt, and have a lisp. Admittedly it might be easier to find him with such a description, but if this were used over the radio then listeners would know that he was a he, and that his skin wasn't light tan, and that he sounded a little bit effeminate. Which would be terrible, so much better to say that they are looking for a citizen person who is wearing a t-shirt and jeans and hope for the best. 4. Anyway the police eventually catch up with him (the citizen person) and there is a bit of an altercation back at the station and he falls down some stairs at the station and ruptures his testicle. And so is taken to ED and the doctor wants to get an ultrasound. But if doc writes testicle on the order form then the sonographer will know that the patient has a testicle and so might be a male citizen person and this again poses a problem. So much better to write 'please scan swollen citizen body part below belt line and knee' and hope for the best. And the sonographer can have a sort of partition so that he can see the testicle but not the rest of the patient so he won't know who it is attached to, and so the patient's gender will remain a secret. 5. B. Smith eventually goes to jail to cool off for a bit and his wife (although we can't call her that, or her for that matter) and three kids (can we call them kids, this sounds like they are goats) have no money, and given they are still at home, his ummm, wife needs the single mother's pension. Problem is Centrelink no longer want to acknowledge that the wife is a female citizen person, and so this makes it quite difficult to qualify as a mother, and so the payment is delayed and they also become homeless. Another problem is that if she's not a female person, how did she go about having these three kids. Much better if we go back to junior citizen persons being delivered by Storks. Storks are good because they are all called storks, as opposed to chickens and roosters for example. 6. And the jails should probably be de-segregated also, bad enough having to go to jail, without having to go to a gender specific jail. And calling the jails is a bit harsh, perhaps health retreat, or reformation facilities would sound more positive. 7. Motherhood raises the issue that is MOTHER'S DAY. Yet another slight on gender. So henceforth I think we should do away with mother's and father's days, and just have a parent person's day, just to be sure no-one knows who is the mother and who is the father. 7. The (mother) eventually goes looking for a job and is pleased to note that some companies are now trying to even out the gender gap, and promote equal numbers of women and men to management. However, in order to do so they would need to acknowledge who is in fact a male citizen person and who is a female citizen person. And given there are considerably less 'I' persons in upper management, perhaps it is these who should be promoted instead of those previously known as M, or F. 8. Kids are now old enough to go to school and one of the classes is biology. They are horrified to discover that even PLANTS have 'gender', and that the school still has anachronistic male and female toilets. What's the point of removing gender from driver's licenses and still having segregated toilets.... And even worse the young citizen persons formally known as girls are allowed to wear dresses and long hair, and the remainder have to wear trousers :-( 9. After mulling over all this I think a much broader approach is needed: - Burn all current literature that contains words that are identifiably gender specific - Compile a list of words that are not gender specific and so are allowed to be used freely - Ban the use of foreign languages that have lots of gender specific words, eg. French, or since French people might struggle, just ban them. Based of course on the latitiude and longitude of their country, nothing to do with having a Nationality. - Do away with segregated toilets and showers and so on, this is a dead giveaway for gender. - Do away with gender specific uniforms, in particular skirts and dresses and the like - Do away with segregated gyms, eg. Fernwood - Do away with segregated health products, eg. vitamins, otherwise for example if a pregnant citizen person buys folate, the checkout citizen person will know the customer is a female. - Commence all teenage citizen persons on hormone blocking drugs when they are 10 so as to prevent the development of secondary sexual characteristics which would otherwise make it easier to work out what bits they were and weren't born with. - Or perhaps make all citizen persons dress in particularly bulky Hazmat suits so that these characteristics and less visible/offensive I'm sure other contributors will be able to add to these excellent reforms. |
