The problem with those things is that if you drive it like its meant to be driven, by 100,000km its ****ing oil out from everywhere and will soon blow a head gasket.

Not wrong about the powerband, bugger all go until the magic 6000rpm. They have to be driven hard, feels fantastic hitting 9000rpm. Guess it has its downside, haha.

Yeah sucks that I moved so early...

I drove my fathers, excuse the bad language, HSV GT 2010, V8 on my L's, but can't on my P's, great set up they've got.

you can drive the SV6..210kw 1684kg 124.7/tonne

so what is the actual limit from state to state?

Currently there's still the blanket ban, but if this is pushed Aus-wide, then it's be the same 130kw/tonne.

A.k.a chuck some heavy equipment in an XR6T and it's theoretically legal...

Sub, upgraded speakers, weights under the chair, 20" wheels.

Its based on the weight the car came out of the factory, not any extras.

The injustice of it all....

Got my license just as P plate laws in QLD changed, BANNED from V8's, BANNED from Turbos. Patiently waited 3 years and got my opens.

Last night, see a P plater driving a turbo skyline... I earned my pilots wing for no reason other than a government agenda :(
