So when I went to Wagga, I had oil and coolant in the boot which both came in handy in Albury on the way home..lol
Sh!T exactly the same problems I ran into! I had oil coming out of the same bolt and oil coming out of the timing case gasket from the same location you just mentioned. I ended up getting new timing case gaskets fitted and while it was all off I had the timing chain and guides all replaced too. Cost me $600 from the mechanics! I didn't have any coolant leaking issues and my power steering pump is fine, except for the bearings being a little noisy, there not too bad tho. Now I have a power steering fluid leak coming from somewhere, I don't think its the pump as its all clean around the joins, I'm guessing its leaking from the pressure switch as I've heard they can go pretty easy!

Good luck with it mate.

Lol at you having the same problems! I also need to get my alternator looked at. It's noisy... maybe new bearings are needed.
I have also bought a timing case gasket, but can't be bothered changing it...

Its a huge job changing the timing case gaskets, you know theres two separate gaskets right? If you change the gaskets I recommend getting a new timing chain and guides while its all off. I had to get a mechanic to do mine, theres way too many things to stuff up doing it myself!

When the Wade Camshaft was installed, I got a new chain...

I'll do the gaskets when I don't need the car for a week.

**UPDATE** - New JMM Cam Installed!

Lol Matt...! Well guys, as much as I'd love to tell you how it goes...truth is...I'm left speechless. Words just can't describe what it feels like when you haven't actually felt it!
I am still waiting for the rocker cover to get painted...then I will have an answer for you!

Be interesting to see how it goes, what colour you getting the rocker cover painted? Are you going to rub back the logos and lines or just the logos? Cant wait to see how it comes up.

Well, I got impatient and purchased a stock blue rocker cover from pick-a-part on Thursday after work. I cleaned it all up and placed it on my engine.

RESULT: The new cam is pretty good. I'm happy with it. It has instant power as soon as I lift the clutch unlike the other one which had a slight lag coze it wasn't suited for my car completely.

I just have to replace my heater core now and replace my timing cover seal and all leaks will be fixed. Yay.

I just have to get it dynoed now...

and the dyno figure will be...........
don't worry to much if it ends up less than what you have now, the other cam may make it's power higher up where this one will have more usable power, peak power is not always the best.

how hard is it to replace the heater core, do you have to take the dash out?

Yes Ron. Dash out job. It's a pity because I already took it out to replace my air con evap unit :( So it's a bit of double handling.
Oh well. It has to be done.

Yeah I've been advised that if you replace one of those then replace the other at the same time! The dash out is the easy bit, its getting the heater box out thats the pain with the nuts being behind the motor!

Well well. I received my car back today from EFI Dynamics in Lilydale.
Errol did some adjusting and upped the power a little from what it was!
They're interesting numbers, because I had 148.2 from another dyno, but this final reading definitely feels like more power - and more usable power.

From 345.8 Nm to 366.6 Nm. It's funny when standard torque is 360 Nm!
Is that flywheel Nm? Is there such a thing as flywheel Nm?

Tell me what you think..

I received my newly painted rocker cover back from Low_XR and am extremely happy with the job.
It has come out a treat.
I also picked up a mini pod for the rocker cover..

It looks a bit orange in the photo's, but it's not. It's a nice rich red.

Yeah seen it on the weekend and I can defiantly say the photos don't do it any justice. In real life the red is very shiny and a deep, rich red, the polished lines set it off nicely too!

Steve how'd you go with the power steering spots on the paint work of it? Did it come off ok?

Oh and I heard something about your 'so called' LSD spinning singles!! FAKER!: :

Indeed Steve, looks very nice mate. Is the mini pod functional or is it mainly for looks?

Also have you thought about getting those Pole Position red silicon hoses? I reckon they would look nice in your engine bay.

I thought about it, but then there was a huge demand for them and they are also very expensive...I'll put it on the 'things to waste money on' list

The mini pod actually works...the stock hose goes from the inlet manifold to the rear of the rocker cover, so replacing it with a pod does exactly the same thing!

Haha you smartass steve! They do look better than the plain black hose tho, hence why I put one on too!

Well, after 2 months, I thought it was time to do something.

I installed an EF/EL Fuelcap to replace my EB one..
Funny thing is, I have had this cap painted black for at least 1 and a half years! 3 cheers for laziness..lol

I'll just let the photo's speak for themselves..
