if you're lying in on a lazy Sunday morning, get out and go to your local shell now. I suspect they will all be gone in a couple of days. Do wat I did, ring 1223 and get the phone no. of yr shell servo to see if they have them rather than running around town.
Shame about the XW plate, it's so wrong.
And what happen to XT? everyone always forgets about the XT.

I went to fill the Pig (Yellow GS) on Friday and seen them. I spun out and grabbed one straight away. The indian attendant actually looked confused when I pointed out onto their driveway.....
With my Yellow GS sitting there, he said "ohh same?"

Made it in there this arvo to get a set for me and a mate in Bowen, but they didn't have any XB hardtop ones......

If anyone can grab me a couple and send them my way, it would be greatly appreciated! I'll cover all costs of course.

Crap these things are getting rare!!!

Just went into my local Shell to top up with fuel and was gonna grab a second set. Unfortunately they had about two of the XW ones and five of the XA ones left, and the rest of the stand was empty!!! :(

I wonder if there are genuinely that many Ford fans collecting them around, or whether people are seeing them as an eBay opportunity? Time will tell I guess. Myself, I like to get two sets so I can keep one mint unopened for display in a proper cabinet, and a set to open and just display anywhere.

I was lucky enough to grab two of each at the Shell servo (Moorabool St.) I visited this morning. Managed to snap up the last two of two certain plates, with about 5 or less of the others left in the other stands.

60 bucks well spent, I'd say

stop buying them! if everyone already has a set and some have two sets and some will have 3 sets so they can sell them on ebay, thee extra sets will be worthless because they won't be rare no mo!

At the local K-Mart last night I saw a biscuit tin with a green XY? Falcon on the front. Prob an inch less than an A4 Page, and about 2 inches deep.

Retails for $10, and you get 500g of biscuits as well.

I have seen them at K-Mart too. Also a Biscuit Tin with a Red Mustang on it.

I also picked up the last 3 Plates I idn't have (XP, XR & XW / XY). I found them at the second Shell Servo I went to as the first had only a couple of XA and XB ones left.

We received an email communication from the agency that looks after the Ford licenced products in AU/NZ asking who to contact to make a statement about the error in the XW plate. When they reply I shall post it.

Cheers

Someone posted this information on another forum, I was reluctant to share it here until I'd confirmed it myself, but they now have my details and apparently the supplier is going to get in contact me regarding a reprinted XW plate. Quoted directly:

Quote:
due to the missprint of the picture shells supplier will be reprinting a limited number of correct xw plates with the correct xw picture.

u need to ring the shell customer service line and register your details, the supplierof the plates to shell will send u out a new plate once they are reprinted to the shell/coles outlet you originally bought it from with your name on it. im told they will contact u first.
