Easier for the MkIII as it has less pollution gear than the MkV

I have a Mercedes 2008 S500 (5.5l V8) - hauls *** with out the possible reliability issues of the 6.2l AMG cars..

I paid $26k in january, been a great car so far - so much fruit, like heated rear seats, active cruise control & Night vision.

I'm a simple bloke so a Grange or even a Caprice would do me nicely. Don't really care for luxos that much.

I reckon, deep down some nerdy car designer at Chrysler modelled the 300 off of it.

There's way too many I like. Everything from a Fairlane ZH 500 to a new 7 Series.

I think I'll pick a black Maserati Quattroporte. Maserati's seem to be quite rare and I like to be a little different.

Love the Mercedes W116, soft spongy seats with matching suspension. Fantastic long range tourer and high speed cruiser, only difference between 90kph and 140kph is the fuel consumption.

Although I would consider swapping it for a real nice 351 ZG hahaha

I have G220 which I'm happy with. I like lots of different brands and models.

If I had deep pockets I'd have a look at the Jaguar XJ.

Below are some cool examples not available in Australia:

Lincoln Continental Coach Door Edition

Cadillac CT6-V

That things a beast, I could imagine throwing gang signs out the side of that with one hand and making animal balloons for kids with my other hand

The bonnet is so big you could use it for a picnic bench for Islander family get togethers.

I should probably mention a VS Caprice on the luxo barge list given I actually own one, its less 'luxo' and more 'barge'.

Really comfy on long journeys, surprisingly spacious and awesome for NZ's winding roads. Even 2 adult passengers in the back have ample room and independent control with the electric seats and zoned climate control.

I was thinking more along the lines of Fab 1.

Bentley Arnage T. (2007+ Model)
Properly restored of course.
6.75L, twin turbo, 1,000Nm of Torque.

Then I'd hire a fuel tanker to follow me around.

My old man had a P6 Town car when I was 17, burgundy with gold pin stripes. He put on a set of 8" hotwires, then ruined it by fitting a bodgy sun roof to it. Nice enough car but it wasn't fast enough. I was taking my mum and sister to Adelaide in it one day, getting along at 160kph when out of nowhere I get passed by a long wheel base merc like I was standing still, closely followed by a V12 jag. The pair of them had to be going 240 easy.

Money no object would be a bespoke Continental GT. Common sense every day driver, not sure. Toss up between a jag XJ or maybe a A8 Audi.
