Got my brake kit today.

Quick test fit to make sure calipers clear wheel. Got about 4-5mm clearance. These wheels require a 3mm spacer to run Brembos so these calipers are quite thinner.

This is not how they sit when installed. This is just with the caliper zip tied to the suspension to check clearance.

Any chance you can say whether they fit behind the honeycomb XR8 or 2008 to 2012 G6E 18 inch wheels? If not could you list rotor height (back side of disk to face abutting wheel) and how far out from the outer face the wheel sits? Then one could probably extrapolate within reason?

I can try get my hands on a g6et wheel to trial fit. I'll try get an accurate measurement today on how much further out the shockworks caliper sits compared to the standard caliper.
From quick look the shockworks caliper is about 5 or 6mm thinner then a factory brembo setup.

Hi Gerard,
Testing we have done in Korea shows no noise as we use a spring clip that supports the disc and stops the rattle that you can normally get with a floating styles disc assembly.
Cheers

We will also try to get G6ET wheel but may be a week or so as I am back oversea's testing in a few days and teaching some driver training again for 10 days.
We should have a track day for the Ford Forums I think.
If I can't get a car and the wheel this week, I will arrange this on my return!
Cheers
Brett

Got my brakes on today. Shockworks front and F6/GT rears with DBA rotors.
Huge difference in braking power.

This is the best i can do with the measuring. Ive put the word out on local facebook page to borrow a G6 wheel.
The shockworks caliper sticks out the same distance as the stock wheel studs.

My rough measuring put the shockworks caliper as sitting 40mm further out then the stock BF(FG?) caliper.

This is stock caliper on BF showing it sits back from the rotor on hub a few mm.

Before shot. Stock BF Turbo brakes with DBA rotors.

After, Shockworks 355mm , 4pot setup.

I took a heap more pics of the install in my build thread.

Hey Matt,

At this stage we have moved away from the gold hats and have the dark grey as in the pictures. We have the option of a red caliper apart from the black. We are now looking at a gun blue colour and a couple of others but that will be a while off yet. What I plan to do is have a range of different colour alloy hats that I can assemble according to what colour the customer wants. This is a bit tricky though, as the disc and alloy hat are balanced together as a unit for best results so need to find a solution to this first. They are balanced to just a couple of grams so don't want to change this too much.
So many other things to get cracking on like finish the testing of the rear disc in which we have a full day of tests tomorrow.

Cheers
Brett

Here's a shot of the Shockworks full floating 2 piece brake rotors I installed this Thursday.

Makes your head fly through the window with the Project Mu HC+ competition pads I got. Perfect fit and finish with the rotors.

Hey natedog,
Sounds like a great idea. I am currently overseas training a whole bunch of chassis engineers advanced driver training and on limit testing on a 20 acre skid pan which is so much fun.
Nothing like fish tails at 160kph with nothing in sight to hit haha.
A Winton day would be great and would be happy to help the guy's with some techniques and smoothness for the track. If we can arrange something, I would happy to do this for free for the forum members. I may also get a lap or two in a Ford so well worth it haha.
Cheers

Hi xr8 007,
The rotor replacement we have if to suit the Brembo calliper for the GT 355mm disc and our brake upgrade with our own 355mm two piece disc and 4 pot calliper.
At this stage we don't offer replacement discs for the premium FPV brake upgrade option so, sorry mate.

Cheers
Brett

Had these for almost a month now. Insane braking even with my current small front tyres (will fix that later). And even better I'm not getting any annoying brake dust.

Most likely because we had not had the chance to do a fitting haha. We still not not have tested the brakes on AU yet but understand that the front upgrade should fit the AU series 2. After we get through some current development work (2012 GT shelby Mustang and some other cars) we will get started on the AU damper work when we find a suitable car.
