It won't happen, but if we're just spitballing ideas I'm sure a twin turbo Miami would make more power than the GT500 engine.
It seems odd that Ford is doing so much with EcoBoost but sticks with superchargers for V8s. I guess the plumbing is too much of a hassle for production with a V8.

So as you can probably guess by now (cos you have completely shut up). I have seen, sat in, and driven an FPV (GT-P) My dad has owned an HSV Grange, which I used to drive all the time. Had my own LS1 Holden in Australia. I have driven quite the variety of cars! All I did was give an opinion that Ford should use one of their engines in one of their cars. Look how silly you got! |

^^Listen up my american friend. The managing Director of FPV has allready stated that the new Panther will be powered by a version of the supercharged Maimi engine. There is no part of that that requires interpretation.
You've aired your opinion and got no support whatsoever. May I suggest you re-read post 57 and then leave it at that. Last edited by Rodge; 03-07-2012 at 03:28 PM. |

Can't be sure where I read it, but the next all-new Mustang GT500 (due in 2016?) will be powered by a Coyote-based 5.0Litre V8. There will be forced induction but I'm not 100% on wether it will be supercharged or turbocharged?

Can someone tell me why everytime we get these positive threads that give us some hope that our beloved Falcon and FPV are going to continue trading get flocked by people just to shoot it down?
I come here to read positive things about Ford, Falcon and FPV and all I see is supposed "fans" doing nothing but shooting down who they seem to admit to love. I don't understand why they do it. If you don't want to say positive things about Ford or FPV, I don't think the AFF is the website for you. I think you might find you're welcomed at the Holden forums. |

Ok, so you changed it to "my American friend." Again, presumptuous... I was born in England, grew up in Australia, lived in America for 5 years. |

That is great news.
Now what is needed is FPV marketing getting their act together and releasing teasing shots and information to really drum up awareness and sales. |

Best news we've had from FPV, since the Miami was announced... And people on here are telling them that the Miami isn't good enough, how this does that etc... Where else can you get a 330Kw (possibly more) RWD supercharged 4 door sedan this side of 100 grand? Hmmm... No where else but here, in Australia, buy Australians for Australians. FPV!

Think everyone should take a few deep breaths and count to 10.
I would say it is proven about the Miami is very capable of huge numbers with just a tweak ...... and there is absolutely plenty up its sleeve down the track. It is a new engine in its infancy! But ..... the topic is really about FPV in general so lets not all get too side tracked and cranky.
