No don't regret it. It's manageable at least. Just have to learn to not smash it!
That said, I wouldn't look at getting any more power out of this car. I thought about an IC (which would still be a good idea) and going a stage 2 tune (although none exist at this point) but that would make it even worse than it already is. |

It's been raining in Melb all week and I've def noticed lots of wheel spin and tugging steering wheel even with my stock FiST if I give it a little throttle. Can't imagine what it's like on wet roads with more torque from a tune :p

Yeah that's from back in August, probably when Ford and Mountune were working together to boost the hype of the MP215 package coming here. The hype most likely was to gain the interest of people and boost sales, with no intent to bring it down here.
Rewind back four years ago with the XR4. It was the exact same story then as it is now. It will never happen. |

Yeah, until FoA gets on board (which appears to be if, not when)

I just noticed the SCT tuners over in the USA are now available for the Ford Festiva ST
can someone from Herrod Motorsport confirm if this will become available for the Australian Version of the Festiva ST The SCT tuner would be much better than any mountune or bluefin as you will be able to do custom tuning like the XR6 / XR8 Falcon's rather than use some generic tune map |

Did you have to change the air intake at all or have you left it stock atm? The missus has a 2010 zetec atm and have put slightly bigger rubber on that and it drives so much better so wondering about going for an ST and going the whole hog as far as tunes ,wheels etc as like the look of these ST's with aftermarket wheels. http://www.revotechnik.com/type/17041/13/ |

I'm not really a believer that wider tyres will do anything on a fwd car. Rwd yes. But not on ours. It's a waste.
I would say it is quicker. The main diff is when in gear. Second gear is the most improved. It pulls quite well. The Bluefin is made to work on a stock car. No extra mods needed. I am running a CAI though. |

sorry fiesta st
just got a email back from Herrod Motorsport they now can tune the FIESTA ST with the SCT tuners like they do with the BA-FG Falcons this would be 100 times better than a generic preformance tune from mountune or bluefin |

Is there a definitive line in the warranty t and c that talks about tuning or modifications voiding warranty?

Well it's pretty common knowledge any modification will void warranty for that part. Tuning would essentially void the power train warranty.

Generic tunes cater for bolt ons like intake intercooler exhaust. If you're going further with mods like bigger turbo and fuel system a custom tune would be better.

Lol. First of all, I hope you don't believe what they say. If you do, you don't know the basics of tuning. A hundred times better is a little car fetched. Secondly, the amount of play in this small engine is already pushed to its max with the tunes available. They're all the same. Anyone claiming they are getting more is bluffing beyond belief. There is a reason no one has a stage 2+ tune available yet. The turbo is so small it cannot be pushed any harder. This engine will not crack more than around 230 horse, even with CAI, IC and TBE. If you want more, look big turbo. Not to be a jerk, but do some research and learn how tuning works before making claims that a custom tune is 100 times better. It's far from it. But if you want to believe it, go ahead. You'll learn the hard, expensive way. |
