looks like ford may need to market this very well. sure this is only 1 pic but the guys on LS1 can't seem to find any difference http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=43182 . If they can't then what is joe public going to think. Ford will need to really explain the changes underneath, etc really well. Get people informed of it.

Front bar doesnt really give away too much...

I am more interested in what other gossip there is, like extra features etc and especially changes to the XR kit...

You could be right, but I'm not so sure. Usually I would expect a bit more chrome around the grill to be a Fairmont/Fairmont Ghia.

It looks more like a Futura to me, however it has BA XT headlamps so I could also assume that it is a XT in that pic unless the BF has recieved those headlamps across the range?

I cant say I can see too much difference in that one pic either.
Not sure I like that front.
I want to see the changes to the XR fronts as well.

No Fair, you get Drive Tomorrow. I have to wait until Friday. If Somebody wouldn't mind, can they scan the article in for those less fortunate to read?

Nice car however. Looks very Focussy (Is that even a word?). Is there any word on the Barra182 and output? Hopefully with the 6 Speeder, it will outpace the Alloytech 190, and shed some Kilos.

I remember Ford saying that the new model Falcon upgrade will be no where near as drastic as the AU to the BA change was, but I find it hard to believe it would be as minimal as changing the fog lights and front bar.

I'd say that's the MKIII BA XT (or maybe SR). Anyhow, thanks for the pic and bringing it to our attention! Will be interesting to see what the details are :

I'm just supprised they didn't make the Fairlane G220 the G240. I always thought it would be smart to have the Fairlane Ghia have the Barra182 as the standard and a V8 option for the 220kw V8. Then have the G240 (using the turbo 6) and then the LTD should have the 260kw XR8 donk. They've always fallen short in the luxury power stakes - that would have been the smart move IMO.

Kinda like EA-EB, then EBII to ED. Boring, but maybe some very nice changes underneath - remember, with the ED came the quad headlights in the XR range and most importantly; the Sprint. Mmm BF Sprint!!

I like it alot. Was never a big fan of some of the BA front bars as that is what made the cars little a little bland. As for BF it's ok and sounds very Ford-like..lol
