Nice AFR mate! (and rwkw)

I notice your AT & IT were lower than mine, but your run was during a hotter part of the day... maybe the shed had some kind of latent heat factor going on...

Anyway here's mine:

That dip in the 95-110kph range is due to the car running lean between 2000-4000rpm. It's at its worst between 3000-3500rpm, which is 95-100kph for me.

EDIT: it was done in 3rd gear, not 4th.

Mr 4.0, yea i hope you get that fixed up, i got my A/F ratio by asking them , and they printed out free of charge another reading with it on n said it had a smooth combustion.

Not really. 14.0 is a little lean, but as you said it started there and then got rich-ish.

Walkinshaw, do you know how much adjustment is made over a 8 degree difference in AT vs IT at that kind of temperature?

Im very dissapointed with my result. Too upset to say. It made over 100rwkw tho. It running very lean. Hope everyone had a great time. I did at the start. A lot of impressive results minus mine, Well done guys especially Jason and Grechie.

Same thoughts here...

Were they putting the temperature probs into the intake on every dyno run?

And a dyno - particularly when running in shootout mode - will produce the same figure (or within 1 or 2kw) on any occasion, hot or cold. There are built in temperature, barometric, etc, etc correction factors to compensate for the differences.

I was going to come down to watch - maybe for a run - but the 5am bedtime and 1pm wake up stopped that. Always good watching some Fords make a decent amount of noise on a dyno.

Well here is my graph, I found out the other day why my results where fairly good, the exhaust shop didn't have time to put a thing on my car that goes meow!

That will be fixed tomorrow, so I expect my figure to drop ~5kw's apparently.

I didn't get an AFR graph, will have to pop down again and see them.

My intake sucks donkey's balls as its gone up 6 degrees, or is that normal?

Well it should make sense. Hot day, car engine bays remain hot after cars are turned off outside dyno shop. Cars are then started up and driven onto the rollers at low speed, causing the engine bay to remain hot. OK, so there are people with cold air intakes, but the heat of the engine bay should still have an impact on the temperature readings for a stock/ish intake.

Your reading puzzles me Mr 4.0 :P

*EDIT* oh, and like Krys said, (car pics)

But... since when does an engine run at temperatures lower than ambient?
