You're the one promoting that look at manufacturers website - but it clearly lacks critical information about how it operates under high ambient temperature aside from a few eccentricities over charging it at over 50 degrees (which magically don't apply for alternator charging apparently)
Manufacturers website is chock full of marketing bull**** and half truths - consider consulting people with experience as well. |

If anyone is interested. I think there might be a sale on for those 10A projecta chargers :
https://www.anacondastores.com/campi...brand:projecta Although they do look to be a bit pricey ? Let the games begin.... again

Go back a bit further and immerse yourself in the GT v F6 shenanigans when BA-BF was released. Bloodbath... although I reckon a c-tek would do a good job of charging the battery in either of them !!

I blame Whitey-AMG.
He's the only one who has mentioned every high class brand there is in this thread. I must've been picking up on his astute and educated purchase vibes. Picked on the wrong guy though. Sorry for that. As I've made it clear to the moderator GasoLane in PM, this isn't the only time I've been picked on for what I've said, it looks to me like the angst regarding what has been said to me, I would call it teasing has blown up into what was posted here in this thread. I won't be participating any longer on this thread and other questionable ones. My personal problems, caring for my 70 year old mother and combatting my own depression, its just too difficult to be socializing on here at the same time. I'll either close my account or participate sparingly from now on. Last edited by gooseneck; 03-09-2020 at 06:07 AM. |

You call people idiots for buying a brand you disagree with (with an alleged history of doing similar) and then want sympathy and cry bullying? No.,,,

I was bullied in multiple other threads and the mods did nothing about it. I'm a new member here. Is that how you treat new members? I think one of the earliest posts involved me being confronted with your member Tickford wanting to express his love for the KKK. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...89#post6467989 I thought that was a bit weird. Then I was accused of selling supplements here: Then called a zilo whatever that is: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...92#post6473992 Got called on a post that I made, which turned out that I was right: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...89#post6473989 You wonder why I have an alleged history of doing similar yet I'm referring to the reason why that alleged history exists is because I've been bullied in the past. You make no sense, this forum makes no sense. This whole ****ing place is topsy turvy. 1 + 1 = 10 here. We're all fighting amongst each other over petty little things. Squabble Squabble Squabble. Too much drama. It never ****ing ends. I post one thing and its questioned by me being personally attacked, that has happened dozens of times. And yet now you're all doing it again. I can NEVER make a simple god damn post without my personal character being questioned. Weather my motives are involved. Or weather the sky is blue today. I've had dozens of posts where people are heckling me saying "oh yeah he must be working for so and so". Yet when I do the same to you guys its piled onto by a hundred people. What you guys think that my motives were wrong when I joined here? ****. I just wanted to make some friends! Last edited by gooseneck; 03-09-2020 at 07:28 AM. |

The Vitamin D post where I was supposedly selling supplements was in the Covid-19 thread which those posts are now gone.
I vaugely remember being a salesperson for Jeep way back early on too. Anyway. I'm done. Had enough. Not the end of the world. I'm gonna go back to my Steam and play some video games. |

Gooseneck, would've thought you'd been around longer enough to realise that if you take the **** & speak down to peeps, youre gonna get some of your own back! shouldnt have to explain that to you.... settle down a little, stop trying to deflect blame onto others & put your big boy pants on... everyone will get over it!

I look at it this way $99 /7yrs is less than $15 per year, would you pay $15 per year to have a charge that works well and does all you need? Of course you would. I had not heard of Ctek before it came with the boat, I still have my old Arlec charger from 20yrs ago as well, its just not as easy to set up as its a little bigger. This thread could join the HSV vs FPV or XR6T Vs XR8 or Tesla Vs ICE Cars or QLD Vs NSW or Vegemite Vs Promite |

Yes Silver ghia if i'd known what a ruckus I would cause by trying to alert members who may be interested there was a reasonable charger deal to be had I wouldn't have bothered, but I think there is a paranoia involved in some posts that took it way off track and caused argument that just didn't need to happen.

Just to add more charge to the argument, I've got a 4wd with two 760cca batteries, around $500 worth, but it sits sometimes for 6 months with no use. When in use the batteries get flogged hard, long high current draws. I didnt want the batteries to go bad, so leave it hooked to a charger 100% of the time. Ran a Repco 10A, charger lasted ~2 years, ever since it has had a Ctek 7A, batteries are around 7 years old now without issue.

Views on my sanity probably vary depending on if people agree with my opinions - I'm internet Alan Jones, got something to say about everything, you don't even have to ask me

Not everyone is happy but that's to be expected when you sell nearly a million units per year.
