https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LO0PgyPWE3o One of the things about a Veyron is that Grandma could drive one, as opposed to a Zonda. The Point of it: I think its a testament to car design, clearly built buy a company with a passion for cars, when the thing is going to make such a loss. Although I think its Ugly I think its a great thing. But supercars are for the Ridiculously wealthy you could have a shed full of cars for the same price.. so many will never see the point of them when looking from a Practical aspect.

It's not about Pagani Zondas or BAC cars and the likes of what can go around the Top Gear track faster. If every car were built the same they'd be boring. This is a car that you can cruise on a highway cross country without comfort problems and sit in traffic all day long. You can bet your *** a Zonda isn't a joy to drive in traffic. Not only that, cars like this are engineering masterpieces. We need cars and technology like this to lay the ground work for what will be in our cars in 10 or more years.

Interesting to note it was mentioned in the video that Bugatti will not be attempting to certify any records for the Chiron until 2018. Must be a few technical issues which had not yet been resolved.

Service and quality up to the standard of the Bugatti? Car can be driven as easily on a day to day run like the Bugatti? The only catch up is everyone else to Bugatti, since 2003.

Not sure why anyone would call a Bugatti a day to day car or a highway cruiser.
The bloody michies cost $28,000 a set! Makes running over the nail that fell off the chippies ute a bit expensive. Like all supercars they are drivable up to the first service.... then get put away in a garage. It is an engineering marvel though!

Pretty sure if you can afford one you don't give a crap how much tyres and servicing cost. Nor would you do a cost/benefit analysis, you'd decide, I want a new toy. BAM.
Keep in mind that there's people so rich that buying one of these would be akin to one of us buying a pizza on a Tuesday. This is for the people who don't need to ask how much it is. Still, it's insane what they can do. If I was stupid rich, would I want one? No idea. I prefer things like the Hellcat, which, I guess could actually be achievable if I ever moved to the states! |

Besides all that Ford GT only cost probably 10% or less of the cost a Bugatti Chiron would cost to buy. Also Apparently an article said VW spent around 5000 000 each to develop the first Bugatti over more than 10 years because of teething problems and so they lost more than a few million on each car they sold. That doesn't equate to Best Bang for you bucks by a long shot. |

With a car that can do 400+ I bet VW are a little worried about litigation. Therefore everything must be perfect.

Yes that's right! And isn't that one of the reasons we modify our Falcons? They give Exceptional performance for the money we spend, unsurpassed actually, especially when your comparing the Ford BADD GT to exotic Hypercars like the Bugatti Chiron!
Look, Bugatti is a great brand, with fantastic racing pedigree especially in the last century! But click on the link to find out who has the most wins of all time! They don't build great drive trains in their cars by accident, I can tell you! http://www.forbes.com/sites/kbrauer/.../#2ede9239ca40 |

The Bugatti is more than just speed, everyone knows that, it is an experience, a testament to the engineering capabilities of the human being. It is not just a car, it has shifted the goal posts, it represents exhilarating performance, awe inspiring engineering, encapsulated in luxury that no other car maker can come close to. Sure, you can buy a "cheaper" car to out run it on a 1/4 mile, but so many other cars can do that. But like i said, that's not the point of the car. If a person has a modified R33 Skyline that can do the 1/4 mile faster than a XR8/6 sprint, does that make it a better car, a better proposition? Bugatti as far as I know, hasn't raced since 1939, VAG have not placed racing as a priority for Bugatti (as yet), they have other brands to do that.

I am disappointed how little there is in the motoring media about the Chiron. VW must be having issues with the car which means it is a 'look but don't touch' stance at the moment.
