An edit is a direct change to the engine programming by flashing the ECU. No longer a chip, just a straight reprogram of the ECU Madwob.

It is with great pleasure that I announce Danny's SCTuning with the assistance of SCT will be sponsoring this combined event.

Very soon they will be releasing it to the public once it has been perfected.

I would like to thank Danny's SCTuning for this and hope everyone else is grateful for your input.

What does this mean ?? Better Trophies !! BIGGER TROPHIES TOO!!!

Here ends the breaking news
Awesome news

The "edit" is in fact, the same product sold for the BA falcons (also known as the Capa flash tuner, and the herrod stealth).

A most of you already know, SCT are currently developing this with my assistance.

Essentially, SCT will be releasing full editibility for the AU falcon much like what they have released for the BA falcons.

Short list of what will be available:

Fuel Mixtures,
Spark timing,
Shifting scheduling (for automatics),
Torque reduction.

Goran, your more than welcome to re add your name of course. So far only 5 V8 Au's have confirmed, yours would be number 6.

Got room for 6 or 7 more cars at the moment if someone wants to add their name to the list.

your pretty keen to be putting a 9 inch in an AU.
Waste of money In my opinion !

AU-Steve, few quick things to consider.
Firstly, like V8Capri said, a 9" diff will add a heap of weight and, based on other cars (including Mals [HOTDBZ] 300rwkw turbo XR6) it is totally pointless. It sill not give you any gain nor will its strength be required.
Secondly, if you are going Motec as a replacement for the EEC V be VERY aware that, if found out about (and this is basically an open forum) the police will simply order the car off the road until it passes EPA tests...which it wont. Laminge has just gone through the same thing and an EPA test is $3000...pass or fail.
Finally, you may want to rethink the T5 as well. Its not exactly the best manual box and, given a full on belting at the drags etc, you might find you have a box of nothing soon enough. Brendan Mock killed one with 180rwkw...your going to have 250+rwkw.

I'd hate to see you spend all this money for no reason.

Umm.. 9" into a AU .. I'd dare say you'd be the first to preform that.

You do know the standard diff can take a fair bit of power.. Infact, Unless you go 31 spline axles, you would just be wasting your money. As the standard borg warner diff is 28 spline (which is generally what will be fitted with your 9").

Evil Cheif or one of the Townsville boys (i think that was his name) had a 9" in his AU, i am 95% certain he swapped it backto the Borgie though

That will be a great idea, However you MUST tell me that you want to do the 2 runs with the air cleaner change, before your run and as we are backing your car on, as it will have to be organised.
I'm quite interested in the results.
