I'm not really clear on what that speed test is showing?
It takes me 45 seconds to load the FF home page, but the speed test shows only 10s.

Perhaps somebody more tech-savy can decipher the following for me:

Hi, I have had a problem where FF has been slow to load for the last few weeks?
I'm on Mac and have tried using all browsers... Chrome, FF, Opera and even Safari. All slow.
On Chrome I have the below errors:

content-script.bundle.js:333 loading pref showConsoleLogs before prefs were initialised, you will not get the correct result
getPref @ content-script.bundle.js:333

2showthread.php:427 A p****r-blocking, cross site (i.e. different eTLD+1) script, https://secure.comodo.com/trustlogo/...t/trustlogo.js, is invoked via document.write. The network request for this script MAY be blocked by the browser in this or a future page load due to poor network connectivity. If blocked in this page load, it will be confirmed in a subsequent console message. See https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5718547946799104 for more details.

Here in the boonies my download speed is about 8Mbps on a good day, but pages here have always taken around 1-2secs using Opera.

Hi,

I have been having slow loading page issues since mid to late 2017. I did not make note of when it started.

I had been using Optusnet (cable) for about 20 years until the start of December 2017 when I switched to NBN.

The slow loading pages only started late last year (2017). Prior to that it had been fine. Same computer, operating system (windows 7) and browser (Firefox, internet explorer, chrome). This is the same scenario regardless what device I used that is connected to Optus or now the NBN.

The slow loading pages for this forum continued when I switched to NBN.

I have looked at the SSL/TLS as previously described and these were in accordance with that post.

What I have found is when I access the forums through my mobile phone data I do not have the slow loading pages. It is an almost instant connection. When I connect my other devices to the mobile phone data to access the internet I do not experience the slow loading pages.

With all my browsing it is only fordforums.com.au that I experience the slow loading issue.

Whatever the reason, it is my landline internet that is causing me to experience the 20 to 25 second loading pages with fordforums.com.au. It was not always like this, only starting in the later half of 2017.

Almost unusable for me. Different devices, browsers & internet connections. Happened overnight a couple of weeks ago. Everything else is fine. 4G on the phone still ok though.

I have the top tier of NBN. Notionally 100, but usually around 60.
I can download a movie in a few minutes. (But I only do that to test my speed obviously)

No problems anywhere else.

Doesn't matter which computer or browser I use.

Yep, I've been getting extremely slow page loads in the last week or so. 15-20 seconds to load a page. The page just sits there loading with the little "buffer" circle rotating in the tabs.

Happens to both firefox and chrome. I'm on TPG NBN 100 and everything else is fine.

If you are using Chrome you can load up the 'developer tools' then network and refresh page to see what is slow to load... Your ISP might be doing something funky....

I ran the Network inspector under Google tools.

It actually reminded me that it is even slower if I wait for the main Banner to load.

Both the initial "document" fordforums.com.au, and the Banner take consistently 20~21s. When I drill down, over 20s is attributed to "Waiting (TTFB)"

It's still really slow on home network. I'm with TPG NBN.

If I teether to my mobile's 4g, it is very fast.

It looks like there is something on the page that the ISP doesn't seem to like. Very odd.

It's some sort of router setting. I rebooted my home router and it's now back to normal.

I am running the latest Firefox and it's incredibly slow for me.

Internet Explorer gives the same result, as does Chrome and Opera.

All other websites load pretty much instantly (TPG 1gbps fiber connection)

Developer tools on Firefox shows over 40 seconds for the site to load every time i click anything.

Forum is painfully slow for me to load on all browsers at least 30- 40 secs to load a page, yet using my mobile it opens instantly.

This has only happened for me since i changed isp's, currently with AAPT which is owned by TPG.

TPG seem to be a common denominator.

Currently on a 50/20 NBN connection.

Surely it cannot be blamed on someone's ISP as there's too many members who are having issues with various ISP's??

Has to be something to do with this forum if everyone is having loading issues, and only with this forum on the entire interweb? Surely?

I suspect it is something to do with images, and certain router settings or cache are not liking it. If you use 4G, the problem goes away. After I rebooted my router, the forum loaded fine again.

Hello,
I have a no name tablet,a Telstra modem, plugged into a triangular antenna stuck to window.
I am near Perth airport and in a hollow,my page loading on your forum is occasionally really bad, I have to reboot, but I know at night if/before I open blinds that the whole sky is going to be very low thick cloud,it is definitely better on clear days.

Cheers Billy.
PS..I keep logged in here full time, why, because it takes me sometimes 30 mins to load homepage!
