Its entertaining for the rest of the world but this is possibly the worse outcome for Americans. A close contest, means it will likely get ugly. Starts with old men talking and we know what comes next.

Have been flipping between Fox News and CNN, two stations with very polarising views, and its good to see their panel being quite neutral in their language rather than trying to stoke the fire.

Good luck to our Murican members and stay safe. I've asked my family there to keep the tank full and be ready to make a dash over the Canadian border.

Also a bit of a wake up to the world, this is the "true" and "free" democracy? All depends on your perspective and agenda I guess.

Just heard. Protests starting outside the counting centres. But they look pretty small and "innocent" for now. Wasn't Michigan the state that had all the armed protesters storming the capitol, and where there was a plot to kidnap the governor?

Looking like Dems get the house and Repubs get the Senate.

So democracy will be the winner when the bellyaching is over.

What a ****fight!

Trump's comments and speeches are giving great ammunition if anyone wants to have him declared insane and unfit for office.

**** me dead. Now you have Sky suggesting that the polls have the effect of suppressing the vote because the lead is so big so why bother lining up.

Which could happen but they also have been banging on constantly saying Trump is going to win because the polls are wrong! Which is it?

Pretty sure he was saying it was rigged when he was just leading early on

Ohio (and to a lesser extent Florida) have been the deciding states in times past..
Trump has virtually nailed Florida and leads in Ohio...
interesting statistic....

“Ohio voters can boast that they have been particularly adept at picking the winning presidential candidate. Since 1944, in every race but one – the 1960 contest between Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy – Ohioans have chosen the winner. After picking Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012, they voted for Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton by eight points in 2016. This time, President Trump has won in Ohio again.”

Don't kid yourself. The Dems also have a team of lawyers ready to go.

This will be dragged through the courts by both sides. It's the american way.

Lawyers will make a few Bob by the sounds of it... Fascinating to see whether state electoral laws are overturned..
American politics is nothing if not interesting....just lets hope people don't die out of it by the time the President takes office (new or old) on Jan 20...

Sharemarket is up +1% on the prospect of a DEM lower house / REP Senate (I woke up this morning wondering whether it'd sink by 5% or 10% based on the stalemate).

Correct, so much for a United States of America and this can be blamed on that megalomaniac Trump.

Are there any websites showing by-time tracking of the accrued votes, per state?

https://www.foxnews.com/elections/2020/general-results

or you can go to each state for real time. Eg

https://www.votespa.com/About-Electi...n-Results.aspx

This page shows remaining votes to be counted in PA

I forgot, sorry mate, maybe those “Socialist evil” Democrats will come up with something like “Medicare”, or real “unemployment benefits”, or Tax relief for people with lower incomes.

Mmmmmmm, that sounds familiar.

“Stralya” mate.

I have no real clue who Bernie is however he seems to be quite intelligent and was correct about Trumps future antics.

He was also not fooled by Sacha Baron Cohen when interviewed on Who is America.

As of today, 239,842 American citizens have died from COVID-19 under his "leadership".

Obviously something to be proud and happy about, and dance around like a clown for sure??

God gave America a hint through nature, but they completely ignored it. A sparrow flew and sat on Bernie's podium during his candidate speech. Not a fly. Bernie is a good guy, but his socialist agenda was never going to make it in that society.
