I recorded Silverchair in a recording studio I used to work in.They were in there recording that tommorow song that they won the JJJ band comp with. I was out in the car park with Johns and Gillies Kicking rocks around and talking while the bass player did his tracks. It was funny though they were bagging the bass player out the whole time saying how crap he was and how he couldn't play very well. I thought they seemed a bit up them selves for 14 year olds who couldn't play to save them selves either. I think johns is still up himself, Oh well he has a nice looking misses though half his luck.

I made Jamie Durie a sandwich when I was working at a cafe about 10 years ago. :sm_drool: He was there with the rest of the boys from manpower.

And I was at the Last Lap last night with the majority of the Commonwealth Games Athletes and a ИИИИe load of celebs. The guys I was there with knew a few of them so I was having a chat, but you could tell their arrogance when "non celebs" they didn't know walked past or bumped them.

Didnt exactly "work for", but had the fun of going for a race for Ross Noble last night. Also got free tickets to his show, and his mobile number so we can tee up races whenever he's back in town :.

Really nice guy, very funny too.

: When I worked for GE in Parramatta back in 2004, The footy Show was hosting a show at the Marriott Hotel, I had parked my car underneath the hotel and was driving back up the ramp when this 4WD darted in front of me from the reception to a car park in front of the exit of the hotel, after the initial shock I saw Fatty getting out of the 4WD, he proceeded to do his trouser zip up ( don't want to know why) he shook his head at me and winked.. I must admit he looked fit as I always thought that he would be fat hence his nickname. :

My mother was a back up singer for Smokey Dawson long before I was born Thanksgoodness :

I've heard that about Perkins. My bosses daughter used to train at the same pool as him. Smug and arrogant was what she said about him.

In the about 1983?. I used to work at Westpoint in Blacktown and sold a packet of smokes to one of the brothers from INXS. They were doing some sorta promo thing. Michael Huchence had the most pimples I've ever seen!

I once sold a Finer Filter to a very old gentleman who said he played at club level with (or against, I can't remember) Don Bradman. Apparently nobody in the team was allowed to call him Don, he had to be addressed as Mr Bradman. Imagine that today ing_sm

My mates met him a few times and reckons hes an absolute tool. He worked for a nursery here in perth, and the owner is kinda famous as some plant lady on radio/tv/paper. Met the old bloke from gardening australia and says he was real nice and then met durie. Di.ckhead he reckons. But hey whatever.

At the Rally Australia i met "Dipper" who was fu.cked off his nut. Real nice bloke. Said gday and stuff when i said hi then continued chattin to some ladies.

And Mike something or other from big brother. If the old man wasnt there he would have copped some abuse. Cant stand the guy. He was also walking past everyone like he was better and wasnt really makin eye contact with anyone.

yep, can confirm that. Nice as pie when there's a camera about but behind closed doors he's a sob.
First time I had anything to do with him he was at best brusque but I just put it down to having a bad day.

After a few years of "brusque" I came to the conclusion that he's having a bad life.

On topic, my work used to be associated almost fulltime with elite athletes. Lions, Broncos, Olympians (Oz and US) etc, etc, etc.
Also worked with St Louis Rams and a HS footy team in Detroit.

However, my real claim to fame is working for Jerry Lewis.
A funny anecdote is that I was at LAX on my way home (I think in '97) when Mr Lewis caught sight of me and came over for a chat. He was on his way to oz for something or other (flying Air NZ, strangely enough). He was with family members making way to the VIP lounge and after a minute or so continued on his way. After he was was gone a few people came over and asked me for my autograph....I must be important if JL talks to me, right?

Ever-obliging I scribbled my autograph a few times. I betchya those people were never able to figure out who the grey haired guy at the airport was, lol.

edit - speeling
