Jack works in a coolroom. Not nice in Winter but comes in handy in the heat!

I just watched the weather for the next few days....Do you need a hand at work Jack? :

Oh man for some reason its good to hear that I am not here struggling by my self.

I've got no aircon! No fans, no pool, and there's no wind about for a breeze to come through the open windows!

Does anybody else sweat in this heat while just sitting down? Its real bad!

36 degrees in our Warehouse at work, Scoresby VIC, ...... ( shaded )
Place has now officially become a f a r t free zone as any extra warm gas threatens to push the temp up towards 40.........

ICC in the GT showed 44 degrees on my way home this arvo.....
Plenty of older cars ( kettles ) stuck on the side of the road with their bonnets up over the last couple of days.

Lots of bitumen smell all around as well........I reckon the roads were melting........

Work was bad today and I expect it will be for the rest of the week. I'm stuck driving a truck around residental streets at 5-20kph with no aircon :( If I had a thermometer I think at least 60deg in the cab. It's cooler outside! I've developed a disliking of the bloke who serviced the trucks aircon last Thursday. It worked fine till he touched it. Now I have to cruise around with no aircon when he gets to cruise around in his airconditioned service vehicle :(

The bloke I am working with was dry reaching due to exhaustion. The rest of the week is going to suck.

I’m glad that I’m not driving a freezer van anymore. This weather is pretty tough on people who work in freezers and cold storage facilities. Even in the back of the van, you can spend an hour inside pulling racks down as the pallets come out at -25 degrees and then walk out into 40+ degree heat.

It’s like being hit in the face with a plank of wood.

I feel extremely sorry for the Lineworkers and ET's that work for ETSA etc, at the moment. My guess is there are going to be more and more blackouts down that way, sorry SA and Vic people, but from what i remember of my last trip down there, the power infrastructure was starting to look... over loaded then, and that was 3 years ago.

I was out in the heat here in Moree today, didn't make it to the 40+ range but it was pretty humid. We were all sweating like crazy

Just about to jump in the pool again. Its just past 23:00. AHHHHH, nice and cool in there. Was nice around 19:30 as well, beer in hand. Shall I open another beer? Yes, why not. Did I say I was heading for the pool? : :

As its been said, good luck finding sharks 4hrs or further inland. I take it for granted that we are located amongst the only boat-worthy closed inland waters between Mildura and Melbourne. I'm sure theres plenty of Vic members looking for a nice spot to utilise their dusty watercraft... Saw some evil beasties of twin turboed, blown and monster twin outboard speedboats hitting Lake Charm recently. Kangaroo Lake is great at the minute, that's where we're off to tomorrow arvo. Unless sharks frequent shallow freshwater irrigation channels (that's the only tributary waters), I'm confident the only drama will relate to the reliability of the watercraft, or falling off the kneeboard
