Geez what are we turning into here?

We allow a guy with a post name of VY something or rather - to post up a pic of a Ford and then get us all to bag it?

Cmon team! Blue Oval is Blue Oval!

True the wing isnt my cup of tea either - but I'll be stuffed if I'll let a Holden poster turn me against my own!!!!!!!

(no it isnt my car)

Why say that?

I can post up what I want without feeling like im bashing Fords because I happen to be a Holden owner.

As I said I didnt post it up to have a dig at Fords, just thought I would show you guys thats all.

Well don't keep it a secret

I think Falkeen is right. Only a Bodykit guy could pick that one up

I like the Falcon painted like Lowndes car. I'm sure that car was for sale a little while ago. Saw it in unique cars. Asking price I think was mid too high 20's.

Looks pretty cool.

I know what you're going to say the only reason why Holden guys like me are here is because we have seen the light and have dismissed the Lion.

Well sorry to say I dont have any plans atm to own a Ford (Keeping in mind I drive a Ford Laser more then my VL).

Fair go fellas. I have a Ford nick with a Ford Avatar on ls1.com.au, and I have no dramas over there. In fact, the two forums have cross paths at drag events, etc a number of times.

Yes .. people who own Holdens are all loosers aren't they? That's why I own a SV8 ..
Oh, I own a couple of big-block Mopars and an AMC too ..
Oh, that's right, I also own a AU V8 ute!!??
Therefore everyone who owns a Holden, Mopar, AMC or AU ute must be a looser too?

Personally I like this Forum 'cos it has a different focus than some of the Holden Forums I also frequent. There is a lot of useful info available. Just a shame some people just can't see past a badge ..

Back to that AU with the wing .. I think he has Dodge Daytona envy ..

The Daytona was designed to beat Fords Torino Talledaga (spelling?) in NASCAR. Mopar decided that it was easier to make the car more areodynamic than bump up horsepower. I believe a '69 Daytona was the first NASCAR to clock 200mph on the superspeedways? The wing was wind-tunnel tested, but put up high enough so that they could still open the trunk .. this was still a roadcar remember.

I doubt the AU will see 200mph?

Almost all the population of fords owners get it wrong (i said almost) people cant seem to grasp the concept that wings and skirts and bars need to not be over done as well as crap stckers and FPV and Tickford badges on cars that are neither of those models i see it all the time also wheel choice annoys me too people buy 17s to replace the 17s that all ready had and the originals always look better. im from NSW and there aint many nice fords (my mate has 1 of the nicest) Melbourne is the place to be for fords although they are not innocent either when it comes to style. the concept is simple SLAMMED,NICE WHEELS,NO WINGS,NO GRAPHICS NO STICKERS and in my opinion all boot spoilers removed its not hard but so many get it wrong AU falcs look good in standard XR6/8 bodywork but the best looking AUs are the Tseries and that goes for all em T123 and TL50 oh how id love 1 of those

Each to their own, but he isn't alone either. I saw one of these wings on a white AU out at the Ford place Windsor last year. IIRC, the spoiler original holes were covered in duct tape. There's also a 6cyl VR Commodore in Newcastle with Supercar front and rear bars with a enormous wing on the back as well. Everytime he hit a bump in the road, the wing would flex up and down about 2".
There's also a AUXR ute in Nelson's Bay painted up like the 00 Falcon.

Hahahaha.

When did bogans start driving cars made in the 90's??

Not the biggest fan of the AU look but that is cruel.

Nice way to say g'day. And verrrrry nice thread mine (still, we DO encourage users to use the "search" function which you seem to have mastered very well.....).

The V8 supercar kit is a bit over the top, but if we all liked the same, we'd all be driving camrys (plus the after market industry would be non-existent).
