I fitted DRL's but have not wired them yet as not sure if i want them as fog lights or as DRL's. they look ok and the curve matched the front bar, not bad for $4 from china
(i'll put up pics once i wire them up) also bought some 195/55r15 semi slicks for when i head to the track. the car is slower with the 17's so 15's should be quicker

Gave the old girl a wash & service. Still looking good after all these years, now if I could just drop an ecoboost & 6 speed box in, she'd be perfect.

So I bought my baby on the 17th. I now have a dashmat, changed my park lights to LEDs, upgraded the headlight bulbs, purple LEDs in the footwells, chrome door handle covers, and now red calipers

My little rocket visited "tint me up" at campbelltown getting getting some nice and dark tint all round.... Now im looking at a set of Advan RZ DF in either 15" or 16".... Not sure which size.....oems are 15".
16" in hyper black (shaddow chrome) 15" in matt black which would be better? Same size thus less unsprung weight or an inch bigger with a little more weight to spin with all of my 66kw.

tyres cost too much in 16's, 15's do look small but get a decent width they look ok.
i went 17x7.5 and the 205 stretches nice over the rim but not much gap from the road to the rim lip so the lips get damaged from rocks and so-on 17in tyres are very cheap though p.s. how do you get rid of the fiesta fun police (traction control)

i dont think i have tc on the oiler as a few times ive managed to spin the fronts and they keep spinning till they grip.
Im thinking 17" are also off the cards (as much as id love to get them) as the wife has a history of barking rims so want a little more side wall protection.... ill look into rubber. saying that if they are cheaper than my 19" on my forester ill be happy

have a look at the UK forums with pic of 15's they look great but i think 15x7.5 may look the best with a 205/50r15 tyre (very common and cheap)

forgot i bought a spare wheel tool kit from a wrecker, its designed for a space saver but it works good enough with a full size, they had a zetec WS complete minus firewall forward, forgot to look at the rear bar.

fitted a pipercross box (thanks vhcbm) not sure if it goes any better or worse but it sounds much better, outside the car its very loud
also fitted a bluetooth OBD11 box and connected it to my phone, works pretty well but i think its just a novelty thing but for $12 its ok, easy way to read water temp, vacuum and all your other gauges, also checks fault codes and can reset them and data logs heaps of info. there is an eco mode to help you drive more efficiently

Yea it is a great intake when I removed it and put the original one back in the car felt like it had less torque down low but that was about it.

did you swap out the whole bumper or just add the lip? if you just added the lip did you drill 101 holes to mount it or did you cut off all the little tabs and just glued it on?
I have one also just need to get it painted along with my rear zetec wing and was planning to glue it on with automotive body kit glue.

i got the dealer fit instructions from the UK forums, cut all the tabs off and used automotive double sided tape, and looked at youtube to see how its done.
one side keeps pulling away from the bar so will need something like sikaflex to stick it down. i didn't use the middle lip underneath i like it better without

Hi all. First time poster here. Purchased my 2009 Fiesta Zetec manual early this year second hand with 42,500kms on the clock. I've recently had the exhaust changed to a single Cat Back 2 1/4 single pipe through Sharp Exhausts which makes it sound more gruntier but not as much as a Suburu WRX. 2 days ago went to Bob Janes and decided to upgrade the tyres from Pirelli Zero-Nero 16" to Bridgestone R002 17" with CSA "Shaker" Rims and simple loving them. Picture of exhaust was with the Pirelli's at the time. Also have a K&N 57-0686 57i Performance Intake Kit in transit from the states, should arrive in the next 2 weeks.
Attachment 79059 Attachment 79060 Attachment 79061 Next will be tinted windows (soon) and then suspension and shocks much later on this year. Last edited by Simon10; 02-08-2015 at 06:43 AM. |
