PS: TO RECAP ON THREAD (SAVES ANYONE READING IT ALL, ALTHOUTH IT DOES MAKE FOR SOME GOOD READING)THE OP IS NOT THE OWNER AND HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH CARS CURRENT PERFORMANCE, THIS HAS BEEN THE CASE SINCE THE ORIGINAL ENGINE GRENADED.

What mph? If its a genuine 550 flywheel HP it should be running 11 flat or better in an XD... On slicks of course. Great effort for a dual plane 2V Clevo, manual too! |

The owner told me last time I saw him at the track that it was still the same combo that Steve put together. Seems like a real nice genuine bloke so I'm certain he wouldnt lie to me. |

You are correct owner is a nice guy and I am pretty sure he wouldn't lie.
BUT like the OP he may not tell you everything... I can say this if it was the exact same as when OP built it, shouldn't it have blown up after a few thousand kms an still be running 11.5@122 not what it is now?

OK, the engine using mostly the same parts, still makes the same power ie 500 odd horsepower. Must be a coincidence I guess.
You don't thing going from 3.25s to 3.9s, fitting a jerrico and practice would make any difference in the ET? Anyway runs real nice, well done to Ante.. |

As for 500 odd horsepower engine dyno says your odd is a BIG number, also now there is a difference in RWHP... 3.25 to 3.9 was a difference, some agree different gearboxes use up different amounts of power there was a difference in gearbox change, so for those two changes and the practice there was a ET and MPH difference. So what is the theory of the multiple increases in MPH? There would be some that would agree increase in MPH is generally a indicator of a increase in HP?

Also Box probably sucking up less power so getting more to the ground .
You can have a 500hp engine using different gearboxes getting different power to the grounds due to each one sucking up " X " amount of HP doing so .

Where does all the other multiple increases in MPH come from? not being smart, as I know where they have come from, just going back to the original question by Stefan "Is it not the exact same engine combo as put together by the OP, just rebuilt by the owner"

Well you're the guy that said it still has 500HP a few posts ago, does it or doesn't it? Either you don't actually know or you're spinning BS.
I'm sure you can find a drag racing calculator on the net and can punch in some numbers. I'll leave you to it, obviously no point having a discussion with someone that is unable to contribute anything factual. |

It has been engined dynoed, made a tad more than 500 ( and since that post rw dynoed) Above is what I actually said.... Hasn't changed You are right to a certain extent though, It's not my place to share any facts with you. I was just enjoying the discussion. Anyway why you getting so upset, when the op said 500ish there was non of this hostility, hence my question about the HP then and now

Don't know about the XY Lee re HP.
I know this Genuine GT run 10.51@129.98mph through a 4 spd on its first and only pass as it wasn't fitted with a cage and was asked to leave. Full weight car incl AC, Sunroof and PS was functional during the pass lol. Thought it was tough and sorry for off topic. http://cacklingpipes.com/081010_wsid...y01008_133.JPG

Help you with the facts, 10.56@129.9mph and far from being it's first pass and if I find the photos of the engine on that pass no a/c etc fitted. TAKING NOTHING away from Adam XBGT, ran HARD/FAST many a time prior to this fitted as Roy as stated ac etc, but for this pass was set up to move http://www.falcongtclubnsw.com/forum...php?f=1&t=5151 For those that cannot see the above llink a copy of what I posted/thread started at the time "For those that don't know Adam (Detroit Customs) ran a 10.56@129.9mph XBGT four door, with sunroof on Friday night through a manual, although not a toploader as that called it quits at the WSID drag day still HUGELY IMPRESSIVE. Possibly could have gone faster with clutch adjustment, BUT were kindly asked to leave WSID as car had no cage etc. Although ET droppped there was not much of an improvement anywhere else ( I think it actaully 60ft quicker and mph higher with toppie) but Adam and Sash can correct me if I am wrong. Anyway BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Adam and Sash and team from ANRACING. JOB WELL DONE" What you Roy posted at the time "427ci small block alloy heads ( i think they are Edelbrocks...cant remember at the moment) 11:1 comp roller cam Jericho box 4.88 gears 546hp at the rear wheels...i have seen the dyno sheet full weight car with full trim, no glass panels etc awesome effort by Sash from AN Racing" Andreas correcting your post "CHI 3V's, TFC, 950 HP! Awsum!" THE MACHINE, sadly been reported stolen http://www.wolfpac.com.au/adam.htm
