I only did 4 runs because the tailshaft is vibrating as I cross the finish line :(:(:( Need a loop and a 2-piece shaft!

I had a great day, and Johndose good luck with the 5psi issue ;) And thanks Al for the helmet!

Swanny, 13.77? Jeez I must've missed that! Well done mate! :

No N20...he just knows how to tune his engine very well.

He ran that time early in the morning, as soon as it heated up he continuely ran slower; not that it makes a difference, turbo's run better in cool temps and so does his freak gas mobile!

edit: I also think his CAI setup is good/bad. On one hand, when you have cool temps its awesome, almost like a shaker, but when the heat gets up it suffers, not to mention engine temps rising into it aswell.

But hey, it works, and the butthole is paying ~$0.5 per litre at the same time!

Yep at last Calder I did run 15.0s and Mr_4.0 will tell you that the Auto I just got kitted that day they said that my auto did not know what to do .. it was in lockup after 100mtrs and was bogging down heaps... And up until a few weeks ago I have had a Rev & Speed limit on my car .. I bought a computer (thanks private9) and did away with all of that.
spent 4 hrs last week setting up the car and after changing the cam and timing and colder plugs I picked up 47kw... last time it was dynod it hit speed limit at 128kw... and still had a heap to go
Heat got to my auto and after 4 runs it would not even chirp into 2nd ... the drive there probably did not help ether.
my best 3 runs was on gas and a 3psi of fuel at 4000rpm .. and then the hob switch was stuck closed and wrecked the rest of the day for me... I got it working again ( thanks Simon ) and my last run was good .
Nope Johnny no bottle yet .. I will be at Calder soon with the car running full fuel and bottle with a 50hp jet in it... I dont think it will handle much more then that.

Now I have to sort out the auto cooling problem and get some different diff gears . and change my mixer to a 350a to get back some more gas at high revs.

haha you can stalk him all you want, im sure he will love it. and yeah john cleaning his wheels, well the back two, was a big shock to some but he even kinda cleaned the car before we left.
and just to clarify, we werent speeding some were just lucky enough to get let around the truck, ppl get lost all the time, it happens. but the main thing is you got there not to long after everyone else so thats the main thing.
i had a pretty fun day, loved sitting back watching all the cars go down the drag strip. cant wait for another day like this.

Just wondering, if anyone else has pics (or even vids) of my car in action (dirty black EB for those of you who don't know me), could you please PM me with the URLs or send them to xe200@hotmail.com?

Cheers

Yeah I saw two pics of my car in there ;) Just wondering about any other pictures taken (like when I decided to do the 5000rpm 2nd car pre-stage burnout :P)

Yeah xe200 has been going since like 1998. It's not as bad as my gf's hotmail addy, she set hers up waaaay back when she was 14, and hence it has "14" on the end of it. Unfortunately I typoed her addy and ended up talking smut to some 14yo in England :monkes: I don't know what's worse, the initial dirty talk before realising, or a week later (note: I deleted the 14yo from my contact list) one of her friends adding me

im on no ones side here but if you dont like the way they cruise up to meets and you dont like it then you should find your own way up there IMO. im sure alot of people went straight down the calder fwy. what ever way you go or how fast you go you cruise at you own pace and its your own fault is you get caught if you do 130 km/h in a 100km/h zone.

I think you'll remain slightly in front for the time being (at the end of the track anyway :P), I was ahead of AU 5.0s, Boss BAs and XR6Ts to the 660ft mark, but ALL of the above cars would reel me in at varying rates after the 660. Well, some of the AU 5.0s didn't catch me by the finish :P

I'd say that 4.11s + stockish motors aren't a good combo for the 2nd half, and that's where your 3.45s would have an advantage over me because you can hold on to 2nd and 3rd longer. What I'd gain over you in the first half, you'd make up for in the 2nd half.

Including our RTs in the mix I think it'd make for some interesting racing

Dave and kenaz...stop talking about when and if, lets do it. Well have a chat to Ian and orgainse a calder meet. Being in the infield is good fun too.

The first half of July sometime would give people enough time to prepare.

No idea sorry! All depends on my job status in the near future, how soon I get a 2nd car, and how much I'll get done to the EB. If it's just a case of giving it some cosmetic TLC, the car should be back on the road in mid July. Then we've got the E-Series camp.

I'd say organising another drag event (new thread?) could be the go.
