Ever wanted your own Spitfire? they make a 80% and a 90% size Spitfires powered either by an Isuzu V6 or a LS2 V8 engine. And they are an Aussie company based in Qld!!

Wonder if they could make one with the new Coyote Supercharged motor?
75% Spitfire:

LS 6 powered.

Great photos guys. Some real legends of the aviation world in there, including but not limited to the spitfire, p47 (even if it was just a truck with wings....), p40, p38 and of course the spitifire. Hawker huricane didn't feature though....which is a shame because it never got the credit it deserved.

Felt it was important to keep a civilian aviation presence as well, but can't find my damn folder with all my aviation picies in it. Nevermind, i will just have to use some 'virtual' examples....

First up a shot for straigh ahead...this aircraft really is flying straight at the camera!

Now, what did they teach you in flight training? Cross the threshold, wing into the wind, use rudder to straighten the nose......something like that anyway.....

Pictured is one of my loyal cityflyer 767s, VH-OGF 'City of Lismore' as she crabs her way in to land at Brisbane RW19 upon completion of QF532 SYD-BNE. Anyone in Brisbane knows the sort of wind we were getting back on thursday evening and the simulator was doing a good job of replicating it virtually i can assure you. First time i've had 15-20knots xwind in a while....was a bit rusty but did a better job on my second run back down to sydney.

I'm such a sucker for the straight on crabbed landing shot.....looks pretty cool i think.

I'll pass on the scale model Spitfires. I've seen enough real ones, in flight and static to have this soft spot for them that no scale model can re-create. I'll have to get down to Temora when they're flying, probably when it is a bit warmer. That museum is an absolute gem for Australian War buffs, and is a credit to David Lowy.

But, I'll follow Keelan's lead and show my other favourite plane. It is no longer in service, but I believe it should still see some air time, especially just for the sheer novelty of them.

The sonic boom was spectacular.

I can imagine mate. I remember watching one take off in Sydney when it was out here, and can still remember the noise it made at subsonic speeds.

I will post the pic's I have of the "Sea Fury" that we have here tomorrow, or later on tonight when I get home.

What a sound, sitting on the tarmac, reving against the brakes trying to find a fuel leak... AWESOME

Bloody OGF! I flew on her back from Sydney last week. I think I've been on her about 60% of the 767 flights I've been on. It's stalking me!

Perhaps not the only one left. This is a Spanish CASA 2111 as used by the Spanish Air forces until 1969. It may have been the only HE 111/CASA 2111 flying though.

As promised, here are some pics of the Hawker Sea Fury that now resides in Moree.

These were taken on the strip at Moree airport while they were flying around to try to solve a fueling issue. It sounds absolutely magnificent when sitting on the tarmac.

Now we're talkin!

I reckon now that the RAAF's yearly fuel budget literally won't be burnt up anymore, the extra dosh should be put towards getting some F/A-18's for the Roulettes to fly about in.....

Interlopers welcome - That's a 'Mack Loop' photo before the Tornados were withdrawn from RAF Service.

One of the problems is I have over 3000 photos all of whom would find a place in this thread.............

For those fascinated by size, I posted a photo of the B-36 above, thought you might like to see one in company with a DC-3, a B-17 & a B-29:

Looking at the CASA registry there are 6 Furys registered. One in Moree, probably that one but can't make out the registration under the stabilizer VH-SFW?, is registered to a company.
