Good time for this to appear. FPV sales are on the rise, GT and GS are starting to gain traction, i've been watching the build numbers over the last few months and they are continuing to increase.

AMC magazine have said the same thing. GTP was 1 car away from setting a new monthly record.

I'm glad things are working out for Ford as regards the new V8. Just goes to show that even if it's getting more and more costly to run a car... make a sweet V8, and people will buy it.

Boss. I reckon you're gonna be seeing more and more V8's soon.

Things are looking good for Ford/FPV, the XR8 return is an 'if', but the response to the FPV concept looks to be positive so hopefully we will see it sometime this year.

FPVs numbers, while great news, have to be looked upon with some scepticism, surely...

It's the only place you can go if you want a Ford V8. I'd be surprised if they reduced...

Its a bit more than a sticker pack, with wheels. Wider, light weight wheels, suspension package, bigger brakes and cooling ducts, custom interior, exhaust and ***sticker pack***. even though its a concept car, I seriously dont think it needs any extra power, they have just added the things us Ford Forumers have been complaining about for years.

Are the brakes bigger then the current optional Brembos?

Are the vents in place for a final upcoming Intercooled version - GTHO???

Does any one remember these spy shots some 6 months ago with the front all camoflauged?

I like the look of it, but FPV have not really "extended" themselves on this one. Aside from a minor restyling of the front bar and soame aftermarket wheels, it is just a black GT.
All credit fro trying, but they should have gone overboard in this car as "concept" cars are always over the top, this one is only slightly modified.
While this might impress people in the looks department (it does look hot) it is typical of FPV in delivering all show and no go. This "concept" should be pumping out 400+kw out the rears as a minimum.

I agree but in the realms of reality FPV will never really have the cash to do an all out concept....which to be honest would be a waste of time anyway.

Ford are the ones that need to carry that burden.

I think they could/should have possibly done the interior, maybe some kind of half cage and racing seats, give it a hardcore edge. Since its never going to hit the road then theres no harm done.

Bang for buck they have done well, because it wouldnt have taken long to think it up and deliver.

DRIFT6, that cut up FPV Terry (not F6X) and the Galaxie Fairlane (IIRC?) were all better attempts at a concept but this has people talking so job done really.

main things i like, the revised front bar/air ducts at front (was never fan of 'coon eyes) gives the whole front a great road presence that was missing, and revised stripe. I am not a fan of the rims though

i dont care for the whole concept debate.. except for that as not being so wild for a concept car mean more chance of looking exactly what it looked like in concept form.. rather than being dulled down as usual.

This has actually made me want to buy a FG....it looks awesome, this is the car that would make BF GT owners consider upgrading to the new supercharged engine/car package.

And no ugly panda eyes.

Yet we still get people whinge thats it's not much of a concept Probably the same people that will never sign on the dotted line anyway

Hopefully this will go into production (I can't see why it wouldn't), and we will see some of these cruise the streets making other performance car owners shake in their boots.

Makes me seriously wish I could afford to upgrade my BF GT for the first time since I have bought it new back in 2007

Love it! Should have created a storm at the motor show and badges it gtho and keep power figures etc a secret. Magazines would be going nuts for months. Don't have to build it. Just create excitement.

I fail to see why hsv called it black edition when the damn thing isn't even black! Besides the grill.... Must have run out of ideas.

Umm they tune them, they design and build them why do they need an aftermarket tune from someone with less knowledge of the engine them themselves?

I want to see/know more of this car. Looks the goods outside. The main gripe by people on the suspension might have been fixed.

Now I wanna see performance stats and what the interior is like.

This car wouls have good road presence.

Hardly a concept. A stickered GT with some showy brakes and wheels. Looks nice enough, but not a concept in my view.
