Err... being only 6 seconds behind the Typhoon on whatever track it was, I wouldn't be so confident as to say it can't go around a corner.

totally agree, i think in general the territory is just too plain looking. they couldve changed the front bar but instead just added a black front bumper insert, and some badges. And with them rims, it just looks like a pimped up terri turbo. Interior is a better effort tho.

Corners well enough to hold a Cayenne Turbo on the GOR and left a GT for dead around the twisties - drive any Terri in anger then come and talk - then try a TT in the rain and come back and voice your opinions.

The fact that FPV is releasing this F6X is a great sign for Falcon as they will finally get the front end handling turning circle and less woolly on centre feel that that excellent rear end deserves, matched up with brilliant unobtrusive ESC and DSC.

Yes I envision many people purchasing a new FPV bling bling Territory to take out 4wd ing at Telstra Towers shortly before heading out to willobank for a few laps.

Why the hell is everything white lately, white r spec typhoon, white territory. Is it marketing maybe to compliment the cobra? I would like to see this in a more interesting colour, I think it looks fantastic and would absolutely love one.

You'd be a fool to buy this over the std turbo. What an enormous let down for fpv. Just looks like a std turbo with fords now iconic stickers pakage. Christ even std captiva's come with 18's. Youd think at a minimun they would have changed the fog lights to fpv style. The cobra is at least a start but this hahahahahaha

White looks nice on fridges, camrys and fleet cars....

Kidding I like white I have nothing against it, I just think a little bit of variety would be nice.

Looks pretty lame. It won't sell at all imo.. considering the price tag, theres not much its got over a standard territory turbo. 2 tone leather, 30 more kw, different mesh and different 18's..

For that money i'd shop around and buy an audi Q7, or a BMW X5 or M class merc.

Stronger engine, premium command centre, will be rarer with its own build numbers, 6 piston Brembos (not cheap and for a reason), re tuned suspension by FPV etc,....

The std Turbo FPV is nice but this is the all round performance package and something that none of those above 4 wheel drives you mention will get even close to this even though the will end up being 20 grand++ dearer by the time you option up one of their half decent engines. How much for a V8 X5 or M class?

Problem is though with Ford and FPV's thoughts on warranties, that would some how void the whole drive train, including brakes. Plus in the chance that you were to swerve to avoid an accident and the DSC didn't do its job and then you had an accident yourself, well anything could happen!!!

The F6X is a nice car - but cheap and plasticy like a typical Ford. Asking price is around $75k, then add the brakes etc etc and it'll be up nearer to $80-$85k. For that money I'd have the Audi Q7 3LTDI. Far superior vehicle. Not as fast in a straight line - but honestly if you buy a big SUV for straight line speed... They're more for comfort and cruising. This F6X will do probably 15L/100 cruising on the highway and over 20 in the city. The Q7 TDI will do about 7 on the highway and 12 city.

BTW - Standard Craptiva comes with 17" rims, only the LX model and MaXX model get 18's.

Yes the standard LX does have 18's, but it's at or near top of the range.
The base model SX and CX have 17's.
/why am I defending a POS like the Craptiva????

At the end of the day - people will buy the FPV Territory. For whatever reason, it will sell (and I personally think it will sell quite well) - and that's all that matters for FPV (and Ford) IMO.

You're right Matty - the fact that the word "Captiva" has been mentioned at all in this thread is an insult to the Territory ;)

The small wheels are a bit of a letdown, should be at least 20's on a big vehicle like this, but the performance will be awesome. Only 3 seconds slower around Winton than a Typhoon is damn impressive for a 2.3 tonne, high riding barge.

It would look better if it wasn't white, would look much better in a darker colour. Some of the new colours it will come with look like they will be new colours for the Orion.

Lol you should have heard Drives headline "Ford unveils faster, thirstier Territory" or something. They just can't let it slip without saying it is thirsty. I'm sure they never call Supercharged Range Rovers thirsty.

If FPV would have done a half decent job on the F6x I would have actually traded my TTG up for it BUT, the lack of real cosmetic difference between the TT to the F6x is way short of my expectations. Guess i'll just put the $ towards enhancing my current TTG, $ I would have gladly given to you Mr FPV..

Brakes dont add 10-15 grand, infact I thought Brembos were std on it arent they? Do you know how much all except the basic BMW's cost to service? Those German cars arent cheap to say the least. I know Brembo pads arent cheap for the FPV but I know a very high up mechanic at BMW (head office not a dealership) that says the amount of people that buy them and dont realise that every second set of pads the dealers change the disks with a multi thousand dollar bill and they end up seeking a trade in. No doubting the Quility of those dearer German 4WD's are great and are a long term car but if you want a top performance SUV theres no comparison.

Of course there's no comparison for the price because it's made so cheaply. Cheap plastics, same engine that's been used since the 30's etc. An AMG M class or Cayenne Turbo would pants it for straight line speed, and quality. You pay more obviously because they're better quality cars. I would still have the Audi Q7 TDi because I just think if you're buying a massive lump of a car that weighs upward of 2.3 tonne for performance you probably are technically an idiot.

: you are way off line hear you can buy 2 f6x for less than 1 amg and i have driven a cayenne turbo its far from being a f6 its ok at speed on a motor way but point it up a hill a new hilux will push you {maybe not that bad but look at the same suv in its class.the f6x is for blokes and Shelia's. not ladies and gents :

Hang on - A Cayenne Turbo is no F6X? Cayenne Turbo has 368kW and 700Nm man and will do 0-100 in 5.1s. How does a car with 700Nm, that weighs the same as the F6X, suck at going up hills? It'll even average better fuel consumption. I get this is a Ford forum so you guys are quite a bit biased and want the F6X to sell well, which is fine, but don't be delusional. :
