Well done for the guys who came out with trophys but the Club is still the best attended club for these events for what a member base is, well done.

Especially when other clubs turn up with around 30 cars.....

Wow and what a confined area you had but the display still looked fantastic....

Cheers Chris.....

P.S l spy a lightning strike F6 HHMMMM silver is nice Jason....

What a fantastic day today. Its started of a little dark, wet and windy but it managed to dry out in the end. Congratulations to Big John once again for taking home a piston as a trophy for the Best GT award post 1992. A great amount of effort was put in by all. ORSM stuff.

Yeah, once again we get a sardine can area, but that goes in being a non affiliated FPV club. Considering half our membership turns up to support FPV, the way they treat us is and has always been woeful. Well done to all members, some hard work put in, early start and despite drizzle day was enjoyable.

Chris, she's a beauty

I don't normally comment on these type of things, have to agree the space given to your club wasn't fair.
Some of the other clubs you could have driven a car around the inside of there displays.
Your display looked A1.

I didn't end up making it to the FPV day. I had something come up.
But, what is the next ORSM event on the calender?

Maybe i should just join and meet up somewhere?

A Geelong based group would be nice. How many Geelong members are there?

Its all working now tony pics look orsm, shame about the spot... Display still looks great.

Dad was there on the typhoon with the fpv/xr club of Victoria he was annoyed at the fact there wasn't really a category for the F6/typhoon. His main complaint was that there was a category for best T series of which like 5 turned up and im pretty sure if ORSMT2 was on display would be a trophy winner, but no trophy up for grabs for about 15 F6/Typhoons... Doesn't make greatest sense since they are such a popular car.

Congrats to John once again where are you going to keep all these trophy's, lol?

i think they are trying to exclude the majority of non FPV/Tickford cars, exceptions seem to be for mustangs, 1 took best car on the day, old school GT's & the ute's

Dont take this the wrong way, but every year you guys complain about your area getting smaller and smaller.
How about not going in 2010? Maybe when they realise people are getting annoyed they will take notice.
Its a pain when all the cars are squished together, because you always get some tard with a pram or a million promo bags trying to squeeze between cars.

You guy's love showing your cars as a club, being an enthusiast these days are what its all about.
So why punish yourselves by not going.
I well written diplomatic letter outlining the members concerns signed by your president on behalf of all the members in your club would be my suggestion.
Perhaps you guys could discuss what goes in the letter at your next club meeting.
Your club was also lacking room at the AFD Geelong.

Yeah well done to big John how many trophies has your GT won now?

The small area was a problem, we like to have doors open at shows to allow the public to fully appreciate our vehicles. I had to ask Tristan to close his doors as people were bumping into my mirror to get around his door. They, FPV, had buckets of room, over the road, was tons of area. In fact car numbers were down from two years ago. There is no 2010. I think next FPV is 2011. I know the committee is pushing the issue, we shall have to wait and see if we are finally heard. If not we may have to look seriously at other options.

Despite that though, I spent most of day chatting to fantastic fellow enthusiasts. And I must say 6AM to 1PM went rather quick. Was nice to meet some new members such as Joe, Glen, Leigh and Gary. All have awesome rides and I think will contribute hugely to the ORSM club way of life.

Some may not realize but some items were stolen from members cars. Be mindful to not leave anything unsecured in your vehicles at shows. After hearing of this I spent rest of my time keeping eye on display.

Hey, thanks for the comments on my car myts. :

I think that they should have more categories for trophies for one.

Theo? Can you let us know the outcome of the talks for our next meeting?

Geez, to win the best club is pretty hard with next to no room. When you're given more room than anyone it sure makes the job easy. I wonder if other clubs had booked in more cars than actually turned up?
