Cheers mate, goes to show that you have to have everything sorted before it all comes together.

Brad if I was you I would work on the car before I even touched the engine, including convertor and chassis setup..

Cheers mate,

I cant put it on the track again until Wednesday 2nd Jan,

Im going to try carb jetting (with pulling a plug at the end of a run) & modifying the exhaust

I'll try some different settings on the calvert/rancho shocks

I havnt tried the car yet with the front sway bar disconnected yet either

And after a couple of years I dont even know I have it anymore, from memory it was a 1.7 something 60', about 97m/h half track, and 129.9x terminal speed.
If you look a few post up, you will see someone else brought it up. As for wrong information? Post above clearly states what mph was run with what hp, nothing wrong there

As for your time slip, many other have since posted slip shame hey it's only yours that can't get loaded

Has anyone tried chassis connectors on these old girls?

Would it make that much difference tightening up the chassis at this power level?

Cheers Brad

Ive got chassis connectors Brad, cant tell you how they would improve your time, as Ive only had my car out 4 times and 2 of those broke clutch/gearbox, and mine wont 60' at all without changing the whole suspension setup, I can tell you that an andra tech guy told me they always make a car quicker in his opinion, but the weight would have to pull down the mph.

I think you should chase the mph via fuel setup and driveline first, and then worry about that stuff. your 60' isnt too bad.

Nugget last time I know you were out (GT inc drag day) you ran 11.6@126.8?from memory I know it was on street tyres what else did you change to loose .8 et and 3mph? Might give Brad an insight in changes he needs to do?

So if you had it at track 2 times and I've seen you run 2 different days in 11s when was the 10.8?

Last time out had 2 runs, first run car vibrated on slowdown, second run it felt like it was going to shake apart, found a broken pressure plate and broken gearbox case, yet still ran that.

On street tyres it can only take half accelerator all of first and second gears, if you looked carefully at that drag day you will see what happens with too much throttle on the first pass, so how can it not be slower?

When it ran 10.8 I had slicks on, I reckon it would have gone faster if they let me continue, as shifting a TKO quickly needs alot of practice, its also made 33mph gain in the back half.

There it is, but I really dont know how that helps Brad

So your 1st pass 2.097 60' 94.9 half track 12.83@124.61, 2nd pass 1.923 60' 99.22 half track 11.63@126.73

How does it help Brad EASY, if he can improve his 60' and half track as in your 3 examples, his ET and MPH will improve.

Prasac do you mean a crap 60' or half track? I mean gets out of hole ok, then turns tyres and picks it up in the back end?

He says 1.7 60'

I know the Rhino has done 1.602 60' 103.47 halftrack 10.642@129.44

The XT has run 1.749 60' 10.91@127.92 on the 205 maxxis and 1.499 60' 10.54@127.98 on the drag radial.

Nugget what else Brad can do for chassis setup? He has all the good gear in it (drag shocks, traction bars, custom tank with modified pickup(s), good tyres etc.). The convertor is more than good enough to get the job done.

Cheers,

doesn't help anyone, as I said broken pressure plate and gearbox, so how is it going to mph or et.

Its a given if you improve 60' times will be better, dont need examples for that.

Why would you be collecting other peoples timeslips anyway?

Btw one of your examples shows a 30mph gain, why so hard to beleive its done a bit better?

Torque figures & 60' times. Brad used his trusted convertor guy & for his intended use it is what was recommended. In your opinion Nugget, is a convertor with more stall required for a street car with 393 cubes?

Gonzo from allfast wanted to put a 5000 rpm converter in the car
I told him I wanted to be able to drive the car for over an hour at a time without having to worry about the trans getting hot.
He then reduced the stall to 4200rpm

I dont have an opinion, other than even if its the right stall speed, doesnt mean its working right.

When you organize track days, you get all kinds of useful/useless crap...more to the point why would YOU have any idea what blockers car has run when you dislike drag racing/ him/ and his car LMAO

Yeah I suppose it can and should be expected from 432 cube 12.2 comp car that's raced on funny fuel...

Nugget, a mate of mine and you claim it (as I stated) I'm yet to ever see such a thing (slip or in person) in a NA streeter, I'm sure such anomalies exist, Prasac is a seasoned drag racer and he is as surprised as me.

I typed it, if you take it as a dig so be it, at the end of the day it is only my opinion, which means jack to most except me! It's a forum people post and express opinions if it differs to yours so be it, there's enough **** licking on this forum, debate and difference of opinion is healthy.

I dont really care what he or you do, I know the time because he posted it here and I looked it up. you and your compadres are always picking apart other peoples cars and efforts, you do it all the time, you have got smarter and stick within the t&c's here close enough, but the MO is always the same, "the dyno is wrong", "my mates car this or that".

Always belittling someone else' ride by stealth, just like your last line in the quote, making mine out a topfueller as opposed to some "little windsor", I guess it just rubs on me wrong when you do it to blokes like Brad & Russ.

It's a forum people post and express opinions if it differs to yours so be it, there's enough **** licking on this forum, debate and difference of opinion is healthy.
my vid is posted on you tube and the Cleveland section
this was also my first and only time out with the car
