Gone are the days when the driver (regardless of car brand) would have to allow for the decreasing fuel in the tank by changing driving, not just adjusting a sway bar here and a brake bias there.

Then there is sequential. The cars sould like utter crap now. Watching the footwork and telementry is boring now. No missed gears. V8SC has become a borefest! Adding new brands will not make the sport any more interesting. I doubt ya average MB owner/fan would be interested in V8SC. So that novelty will wear before the end of next year. Nissan fans may stick around. *shrugs*

i really think you won't be able to beat the windsor set up wise for the bonus' you get with it being a compact unit compared to the ohc motors?? they all have a minimum weight and it helps more if you can put the weight where you want. i could be wrong but they weight less than the competition, don't they???

Have been watchin the american continental tyres series a bit tho and seeing that is much more entertaining than our v8s you genuinely don't know who will win it.

you know what tho, no evo's and 1 wrx in the field and it rarely wins

They are very similar dimensionally to the chev V8, so I would assume there would be virtually nil difference between them. Not sure about the other 8's being introduced.

car manufactures see some benefit from it other wise they wouldn't do it.

V8SC is in fact a good platform in that it has a big fan base, good TV exposure, and for limited factory involvement, the manufacturer gets their body shape, and engines racing in a competitive environment.

IF DJR do actually run the Ford DOHC engine, then they will be racing with an engine that has strong links to engines currently pushing road going falcons. got to be some milage in that.

Have to agree. The whole status quo has changed, now that Nissan and Merc engines are factored in. The existing Windsor powerplants, although brilliant, are now 2 generations removed from the latest FPV road-going equivalents.

I reckon it's all pretty exciting...........

V8SC has been invited to run in how many countries? Its a successful form of racing for a reason and the 1st Australian motorsport to go international for more than a season. Slag it off all you like but we all know most people on this forum will be watching next year with renewed vigour hoping like all hell that the Blue Oval teams kick butt!!!!

Based on past form I don't think the Kellys will be a threat, they have been at it for what, 3 or 4 years now and are rarely at the front. Switching to Nissan won't change this.
