There are some great cars amongst that lot for sure but I have a question...
Do you happen to have a crook neck or is it that one leg is alot shorter than the other? If that's the case, how do you stop yourself from walking round in circles?

Great pics of nice cars. How of them are owned by guys named Spiro, Gino or Habib?
Where are pics of the other half of summernats?

Seriously if you don't like the way I take photos, then don't look at them. It's pretty simple, I spend my own time to upload these pics for members that couldn't go. And so you know the only the way to take pics without getting people or other cars parked side by side is on an angle.

Settle down sunshine. A bit sensative aren't we? It was just a bit of harmless ribbing, geez.

Firstly to the OP great thread, for those like me that didn't get to go this year, let's us poke around the photos and check out the cars.
But the summernats traditionally does bring out the worst behaviour that humanity has to offer. Most of the people that attend leave their manners at home.. (Presuming they had some manners to begin with, surely they can't act disgraceful like that all the time) Also most of my mates just won't enter their cars anymore as the cars get damaged or go missing. Everyone knows all the thieves from all around Australia congregate at the summernats to grab what they can.. I have a long list of friends missing cars/parts from the summernats. |

Just be careful as what seems like plenty of fun has ended in tears for many.
Last time I was there my mates mint ls1 disappeared from the hotel, it was parked in as well. They didn't hear a peep. Another mate was cruising in the complex and someone through what seemed like a brick through the air landed on my mates mint VK Grp3 SS badly denying rear quarter panel. Completely unprovoked. Didn't see who it was. If you go next year let me know and we can all get a big group together, safety in numbers down there for our cars and on a personal level. Something with a Group C kit and fat deep dish wheels would suit me. Normal diameter too, I'm not a fan of the 20"+ rims on old cars.
Nice pics and cheers for sharing.

Just got back, will upload some burnout pics later on.
I noticed today the numbers were seriously down on last year, by 5 everyone had cleared off. Even at the burnout pit it was easy to get a seat on the grandstand, that never happens. Lots of carnage on the pad today, kept the crowds that were there happy |

People are too scared to enter their cars.. Too many thieves at the summernats. Years back there were some serious machines on show, the thieves came, too many instances of cars disappearing, so the machines are staying home in the garage where they remain safe. Now the cars entered are mediocre in comparison to the machines of yesteryear and crowds aren't stunned like they used to be. Flow on effect is crowds are down year to year. People love to display cars but you just don't know who is around... The risk is too much at the summernats. |

Top flight Summernat cars are nothing like the normal builds done by most enthusiasts.
Why spend half the national debt on a car to leave it at home in a shed. Aren’t these things insured? |
