True, but its consistant with the GTech which also does a 0-60 time so still valid.

My G-Tech does 0-100 km/h, not 0-60mph. You can get mph and km/h versions of G-tech - mine is the km/h version, so all 0-100 & 0-400m terminal velocity is given in km/h, not mph.

JonBays ...based on these figures with a manual falcon s and the same motors out of our wagons..0-100 in 5.8 seconds!!!We have shaved off 2.2 seconds off the wagons times.

Has anyone got a standard AU fords times in real life without mods?

take 200kg out of our wagons throw in a manual and yes you would have an XR8 beater. XR8 auto's don't bother me much now anyway. On the street in roll ons there is very little in it.

Well i did a 0 - 100kph run tonight with the video camera and worked it out to 7.6 secs, although i have to say i got a fair bit of wheel spin to about 35kmh and 34c with 100% humidity would not help. So i could comfortably say that with a good launch it would do a 7.2 or better. If anyone can tell me how to post the video i will , mucked around for 2 hours trying to work out how to do it but i'm just a Dumb bricklayer.

loxxr6 6.31 seconds (XR6)
Casper 6.37 seconds (XR6)
Jonbays 7.12 seconds (wagon)
Useless 7.50 seconds (wagon)

Its even funnier how 1 sec 0-100 equated to .7 second difference over the 1/4 mile in the same run...

Using that estimate 2 seconds quicker from 0-100 = 1.4 seconds quicker on quarter mile .3 seconds would equal 2.1 on the quarter. Using this formula which I just came up with then I am pretty sure that 3 seconds less than stock 0-100 would see JonBays and myself run a flat 15 or 14.9 quarter mile with the wagons.
If you look at the first 4 sixes onJonBays list there is consistency that 1 sec ond equates to .7

nah, I'd expect that as the weight started to take its toll and the cars power couldnt compensate.
I also suspect the 0-100 difference is purely because the ghia would have the 3.45 diff gears where the Monty wouldnt.

1 second again and .7 second 1/4..
Diff ratios are a good point but it is wierd....I am strictly looking at the times..it does appear very coincidental.

You probably right mate ,the mags are full of crap ,but applying "the useless formula"(tm) it seems pretty good food for thought.

I second that, mags are only good as a guide. And just for the record, since everyone wants to get technical with their times, I had 1 passenger and a full tank of fuel when I got my time.

Ok using a real live example then ..
Loxxr6 0-100 6.31 seconds 1/4 14.680 (real life)4.0 xr6 manual.

2seconds quicker 0-100
2* .7=1.4
15.9 -
1.4= 14.5 1/4 mile...now thats close!!!

15.9-1.63=14.759 your actual 1/4 mile is 15.082?

With yours the formula is about.3 out.It appears wrong.

However if my calculations are correct you are running a 7 second 0-100 casper not 6.37. Gtech it and let us know? I am probably wrong...

I'll be happy with any sub 7 0-100 personally. I know the car comes on at 3000rpm so I'm betting the formula for 0-60 based on 1/8 time will be a bit out.

ok i did another 2 runs this afteroon and i changed the way i launched the car big difference in times . first run 0-100 was a 7.32 and the second was a 7.2 with hardly no wheel spin and today is a much cooler afternoon up here on the coast.last nite was really humid . The missus told me to hold of posting last nite but i was a bit keen to post. Think i could have another 50 goes and would be pushin to do any better

I'll take mine out tomorrow night to try and get a real number, I suspect 6.37 is a little optimistic to be honest.

I'm thinking a high 6 is most possible. 6.8 or 6.9, still good numbers in my books. Considering its an auto that is looking suspiciously like another torque reduction victim I guess I cant complain.

If this sounds like a dumb question sorry but if I dont ask i wont know.
