Yes, I let my better half drive the XR8. She flogs it harder than me! Bit of a problem when you rock up to the local Autobarn and no-one believes it's your car as they have seen it flogged around the local area with a female at the helm!

Most guys have a coronary when they learn I let her drive it.

Funny part is I'm rarely allowed to drive her V8 Explorer! I hate to think what she does in that...

My wife is welcome to drive my turbo anytime she likes. But since I got the rip shifter I feel she is a bit intimidated. She used to fang my XR8!! Unlike most women she can drive.

Well I drive caspers car and I think it sighs when I drive it because I do not drive it as hard as him. He is not allowed to drive the wagon as hard or he copes it. The only car he has not let me drive is the old xd. Why? do not know. Still can not get a straight answer on that one. But yes I drive the black beast as the kids call it. And oh lets see, He is away and Ihave the keys to it. hmmmmmmm which one do you think i am going to be taking tomorrow. :Up_to_som :evilsasmo

I don't have a problem letting my lady drive my Fairmont as she's probably a better driver than me.

the mrs drives the xr6 over the week and I get it on the weekends. Just as an aside guys can be prats when they see a chick in a real car. Every second day I get stories of some young git in a VN causing trouble for her. Statistically girls are safer behind the wheels anyway, they just need more balls :1syellow1

Yes, sometimes I let the other half drive MY car! And I prefer to drive MY car than his anyway, as he is correct, I HATE autos.

And when I buy a MANUAL Typhoon one day, I MIGHT consider letting HIM drive IT too!

As for chics not having enough balls.... I probably flog my car more than Eamon does. But I probably damage it more too (3 clutches). I also race mine on the 1/4 mile - and he cant seem to beat my time in my car. Having said that, I dont think I could come close to beating his PB in his car on account of me being a poo auto driver.

See you boys at Heathcote!!! :the_finge

The XR is a big softy to drive, feel free to take it for a spin any time you like babe... tyres light up even better than the V8 EB... but I'm sure you have already discovered that by now :P

As for the XD.. lets see. evil clutch, no power steering, fat tyres, fickle handling.. deadly on dirt. I didnt let you drive it cause it was an evil car and I didnt want you to die. :

My self control was tested to the max but I couldn't contain myself lol, my eldest son ran upstairs going "mum's going to cop it,mum's going to cop it".
I said didn't you hear the friggin scrapping !!
She looks at me like WTF are you on about ?

OMG wait till you see the replacement cost on the bank statement then you won't say "it's only a wheel"...haha cop that !

It's the best thing that ever happened, she's too scared and wouldn't dare drive my cars again !!

LMAO nice one! I like the thinking behind that!

mrs b2tf hates driving the focus because she knows if there is so much as an extra hair on the seat afterwards i will be onto it quick smart. She finds it much easier to just follow me in her car :. I think this suits everybody!

Sounds fair, making you drive an E Series is just not right anyhow : Pick a car, we'll get it and then I dont have to replace your tyres

SWMBO has never driven the Viva. I'm mostly worried about the gearbox as the synchro was never much good, and she prefers to do 'straight-through' gear changes!

Now that I don't own a car - I get to drive her car!

Not that it is all bad (apart from the plates)

Your a braver man then I.... Theres only a handfull of mates I'd even consider letting drive my car on the street, and absolutely None of the girls I know have been confidence inspiring enough to let behind the wheel of the XY... and of course none of them are up to the task of the clutch or steering...

must be all that sun up at briz-vegas... My partners car (see above post) is all things, Ute (tail happy), manual, and BOSS260.

All in all, the perfect woman - drives a ute, drives a manual, drives a V8

Bit of a diference between driving a BA GT and a XY... 300kg lighter, no powersteering, 4200lb clutch, skinny rubber, detroit locker, and a shedload more instant torque....
