Also there's Fischer Tropsch process - place one plant in Gippsland, one in the Hunter Valley and one in the Bowen basin, that should help keep diesel truck fleet running if it comes to it. One at Collie too? Thanks to the AFF member who informed me there used to be a plant in Gippsland in times past

These are medium sized military spec drones firing Badr-1 short-range ballistic missiles. News reports state @ 10 drones were used. Just a little bit more than a few thousand bucks of equipment I reckon...... Either way, its bad news at the pump and will cost each household with multiple cars more than a couple of grand extra each year to keep our gas guzzlers on the road.

And stuff like this is the reason our government needs to get it's head out of it's **** and fulfill it's obligation to have 90 days of fuel supply available at any time, and not the 30 we have at the moment. Idiots.

Another reason for Australia and the world to move to EVs for cars and all transportation.
Energy independent, produce your own electricity via solar wind etc... Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore want to install solar in Northern Australia and use this for their grid. |

I believe the Australian designed “drone gun” is well into refinement stages.
Shame it will likely be restricted once on the market, little grubs around my way have been pestering people with their flying toys again. |

Came across this post to make all of us envious, the Iranians have busted a tanker smuggling diesel out from Iran to Qatar, the reason they do it is the large arbitrage profit available:
"This has nothing to do with sanctions, or at least not with US/UN sanctions on Iran. Iranians can buy petrol/diesel at a discount for personal use. The 250.000 liter of diesel can be bought in Iran for $22.5k and can be sold in Qatar for $127k. Diesel in Iran is sold for USD 0.09/liter, 0.341/gallon. Qatar is a short distance, there diesel sells for USD 0.508/liter 1.923/gallon." Hahaha, how about the prices we pay!!!

Most of the known lithium supply is in Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Australia and China. The biggest issue will be China flooding the market with cheap LiIon batteries and taking control of the segment , as they currently do with Solar panels. If our dependency on Electric vehicles becomes large enough , then China will play a dominant role in Supply and demand , they currently manufacture @ 75% of the worlds batteries. The USA / China trade war is likely to become the new "middle east" power crisis.

That just makes powering Australia's cars on CNG, which we have a huge amount of, even better sense.

There is a reason why the world is moving to EVs instead. Electrification of everything is happening now. You can decide on your source of power. |

We run the couple of falcons in our family they're old and we don't do many kilometres. So we got a track the petrol prices you look for the best deal. Good I think we'll keep them because in the coming years I don't expect to be too worried about high fuel prices. I expect other fuels will reduce the demand and a small reduction of demand will mean a big reduction in price. That's the ogic for us.
To argue that other fuels like electricity or cng or whatever isn't related to petrol prices is a nonsense. As I see it.

history has shown jumps in oil prices appear at the pumps in about 30 seconds, while reductions in oil prices take 30 days.

I would have thought, a reduction of 5% in the world daily oil supply, and 50% of Saudi's oil production offline at the moment , would be the perfect excuse to raise pump prices locally. |
