2006 bf sr falcon Not a barn find or classic, picking it up next week from Sydney she only has 20k on the clock. Owned by an old bloke who pased away, it then sat at the retirement village for years. Last edited by rjk74; 21-05-2016 at 08:27 PM. |

Did you get it for a good price? First thing you need to do is change every single fluid in the car, if its been sitting for years the fluid will be cactus.

Paid 8k which is probably a bit high for its age, but the condition and low ks (20780km) made up for that. What fluids do think need changing, gearbox, cooling, brakes, also might get a separate transmission oil cooler.

G'day Rik....Looks awesome...fair price I'd say..I looked at an 06 XR6 with 91 k on it ..in exceptionally good order and that was $7995..So 8K for yours is pretty good..I ended up going just over 12 k for an immaculate 65,000 kms FG XR 6..in the finish..I agree you might be best if you change Oil , coolant , at least before you drive too far , just to be on the safe side..transmission oil should be okay as most are meant for big kays and it doesn't deteriorate just sitting I've been told..Is it a 4 speed ?.. congrats on a great find..Cheers Rod..

Rare 1930s Bugatti in the Garage quite a find , the article says it was valued by experts at 8.5 million , but later says they sold it for 4 million.. still a nice surprise.

This is the style of car I would class as a barn find. Not a 5-10 yr old car with low kms. |

Sure. But that story has been click bait all over the Internet since 2009
Anyone interested in barn finds has seen it hundreds of times At least the BA above is an original story just needs another 2+ decades in the barn until it's done |

My recent barn find.
One of the first four Superliners to be built. 180 tonne rated. One of four Superliners to be factory fitted with a Cat 3408.
