USSR!!
These are fine vehicles from the Uk. Study up your Hillmans and Jaguars. The Hillman is a minx from the early 60s. You are showing your (young)age |

So was the Jag, but I think Franco was going by their condition.

I’ll take the Jugular over the Hillperson any day. A better class of rust and leaks. |

A mate who worked on them when current, reckoned valve lash was a two day job if you did it right.

Dunno if I'd have paid the $130,000 asking price for it, but I'd pay $15K for it and drive around looking like a 1980s Eastern European dictator with my 2600kg Russian Putin-mobile with all 5.5L and 8 cylinders producing 164 'Russian KW' (so probably about 64KW in everyone else's language). https://performancedrive.com.au/for-...imousine-1922/ |

Nah, you want the GAZ-24, trick it up a little for a sleeper.
That Chaika looks like the son of a Lincoln and a Grosser. |

Franco interesting reading about The Century, they used wool as the Upholstery because it was quieter for entering and exiting.

I'd chuck a set of 16" 'interceptors' on it and have a KGB BT1 5.5L, 8 cylinders, two carburettors for a grand total of 162KW. It's like the USSR variation of the Holden 304 boat anchor Quote:
I'm pretty sure someone here on AFF has one of these cars. EDIT: '2.8L Hilux' has one (V12 variation) - in his build thread here: https://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?p=6598274 Though I'm disappointed - he should be wearing socks with his thongs if you're going to wheel around one of those things: Maybe a horizontally striped polo shirt he could tuck into his shorts just to be on brand, then white 'new balance' runners when he wants to be fancy instead of the socks and thongs, thats how I'd dress if I had a Toyota Century Though being serious those things are real nice cars, wouldn't mind one of those. The Russian limo looks like a Mercedes 450 SEL rip off. Especially the steering wheel, head rests, tail lights and C pillars. The front looks like a Lincoln Continental. Actually the tail lights look like a 230E from the 80s.

Saw this really well preserved gemini and asked the owner if I could take a pic. The guy was really keen to let me know it was for sale and it was a one owner. I was too scared to ask how much as I imagine he is motivated by the inflated market prices getting around
was a slow day and this pair was just down the street, so I figured why not. Someone likes their nissan bluebirds. |

Saw what I think was an early 70s Jeep J4000 pickup with a tray back. it looked to be a working vehicle - maybe a painter.
I've heard there are Tradies operating on club regos these days to avoid charges

You mean to tell me the 'Mitsubishi Express L300 and ****ty 30 year old Toyota Hiace club' aren't actual car enthusiasts using the scheme for genuine reasons?
I thought their club office was located at their local waste transfer station and they have meetings every weekend? Mind you like 15 years ago I saw a local using a beaten up 70s Falcon coupe as a tip run car. |
