Why is it when you break a shoelace it is impossible to buy replacements which match those that came with the footwear?

Why is it... some people "Ask" to join a certain club yet moan about certain rules of applying for said club, clearly club has choice who they want and don't want as members, there vetting works well.
Mate put name forward to our local club (they have policy of putting photo on main entrance notice board) there was a dart in his head on photo, he laughed about it, and did not glare at someone who has served there country and no dought elderly. At least i sleep well before getting up and going to work....I do know some people have good reasons for not working, i just have'nt found one yet... |

Why is it that some atheists sing 'Soul Music'? If there is no God then there are no such things as souls.

....weekend warriors can not keep left unless overtaking on Freeways ? Never have this problem during the week out here.
also observed several newish cars wandering all over the Freeway lanes and crossing the Vibralines, must be annoying having those lane departure warning bells and whistles constantly going off.

I posted this else where but I still want to know
why is it ? Why does the sun lighten our hair, but darken our skin? Why can't women put on mascara with their mouth closed? Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle? Why don't you ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"? Why is "abbreviated" such a long word? Why is a boxing ring square? Why is it called lipstick if you can still move your lips? Why is it that to stop Windows, you must click on "Start"? Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavour, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons? Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker? Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour? Why is the word dictionary in the dictionary?

Why is it some people manage to get through life being so clueless? I was doing a job for a lady today and she asked if I had some cable ties. That's not the kicker. So I gave her some and bought up some double sided velcro. She now believes I made a heap when I invented velcro. Or so she actually thinks I did. Velcro has been around for ever and I am not smart enough to invent anything. The lady knows my boss so I really hope she brings it up to him, I'd find that funny.

Maybe she played the dumb female role, to make you think you were a great tradesman, smart and knew all the tricks of the trade, appealing to the male ego. That ensures you do a great job because now you have to live up to how wonderful and great you think you are in her mind and will have to go the extra mile to impress. Maybe you've been played. |

To be honest I would get more entertainment from getting called out on that. It's not preying on people or anything like that. Its harmless and regardless of who it is is something I use to break the ice with people so they arent like dealing with a brick wall. It's just a dumb joke to prove I'm also a person. Personally I think if you cannot make a joke at your own expense you have no right to make a joke at anothers expense, and even then theres a line. And it's a thick line to be fair.

Why is it some people cannot get their head around eating a meat pie using the true single handed technique without making a mess of it. Granted how the pie mechanic engineers the shell is a factor, but today the pies were well built. My offsider today i was disappointed with. He ate around it without attacking the middle and it was carnage. There was steak and mushroom dripping everywhere. No attempt was even made to drink the pie juice when it looked like it was about to flow out. So maybe some pie juice on the selected pie eating hand is acceptable, getting both hands covered in pie and associated tomato or bbq sauce should be punishable by law. Im relegating my offsider to sausage rolls only until he can mend the error in his ways and im willing to let him step back up to meat pies.
