Just to make it easier to search, can you provide the VIN and the part number on the unit you have already.

Hey GT Legend,

Do you have the Ford part number for the 5.4L 3v oil sump plug?

And how much are they going for from Ford?

Thanks.

If you are referring to wheels with part number BG1007L which I think is what your after, then unfortunately no. You will have to keep an eye out on eBay, FB etc or try a Ford specialist wrecker.

Not much around, but I can check, you need to advise what particular colour you are chasing and confirm what month/year your vehicle is?

Hi I've got the DUD 2011 SZ AWD Diesel Brake Booster, the part no ending in AA. Would you be able to give any guidance where to find and upgraded replacement booster. In case useful I'm hearing the upgraded booster part no xxxxxxxAB, has now been superseded with a part number starting in 'L'. Cheers.

Default Re: Genuine Ford Parts

Just wanted to share my experience with GTs pricing. As per my last two posts, I'm in need of a new alternator for my 2013 FGII Ecolpi ute.

GT's price was $370 plus freight.

Dealer doing my work said price was 'about' $500. I told them I could get the part for much cheaper than that and that they'd need to sharpen their pencil a bit.

Called another local dealer who advised retail price was 'around' the high $400 to $500 mark, but he could do it for low $400s for me.

If I didn't need the replacement alternator stat, I'd be purchasing the alternator from GT, even with the freight cost.

Yes, sometimes you can purchase the items elsewhere for less, so it does to pay to shop around, but the prices GT provides are excellent and are, generally, very competitive. And that's even before you consider the great service.

Thanks GT.

Thanks GT.
Does pay to shop around and just depends on the part, some cheaper, some not. Here to help get the parts for those who need and sometimes have the drama of trying to get for what ever reason.

Glad to help when people are not sure on correct part numbers etc, as well.

Some of the bigger Ford dealers sell parts on eBay or the alike cheaper than some others buy price, so if you find them that cheap, get them!!

Thanks for the post appreciate it.

G’day Legend

I’ve got a 06/2008 G6ET. Just wondering if the perforated leather steering wheels are still available from Ford. I did ask the local dealer around 18 months ago and they said yes with a price of $500 or thereabouts. They couldn’t tell me if they were genuine Ford items or manufactured by someone else on behalf of Ford.
Mines a bit on the worn side and I was worried about the quality of the replacement.

Hi mate,

They were available 18 months ago for around $500, but they are all gone now. In hind sight, you should have bought it then. It would have been genuine item too. There are some companies that refurbish them, but I have never used any of them, so cannot recommend anyone at this point in time.

Sorry bud..

Mr GT... Could pop into this thread and confirm if my memory is right or wrong: https://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11494739

I'm sure I saw you or someone write somewhere Ford had changed suppliers of B-series coils to VDO in recent times.

Or even if its something you recall and/or can confirm.

Hi Legend.

small question re 8-way/6-way seats.

the controllers/modules for the 6-way seats is marked as a 6-way, but when i look at what i believe are '8-way' it shows it as a '10-way' .... what is the go here as now i'm confused as to what i actually have.

Thanks

Ps. can supply pics but i don't think it's ford part numbers on the controllers/modules.

Hey GT,

Would you by any chance have the engine oil dipstick for the 5.4L 3v, Barra 220?

Are they the same as the BOSS 260/290?

So BF has only one seat module BA214M701A regardless of seat position.

FG on the other hand"

XR GT GTP F6 6 way have BA14A701A but the 8 way G6E GTE F6E 8 way is BL14A701C and are both for non memory seat. If seat have memory control then they are 8 way with part number BG14M701A1 for shadow grey or BG14M701A3 for cashmere.

I dont ever recall seeing 10 way?

Let me know what part numbers you have, should be one with either a 14M701 or 14A701 in it.

They are different. 5.4 24V use BA6750B, 5.4 32V use BAT6750A.

Sorry dont have either and they both obsolete from Ford.

1st is a BA Fairmont

2nd is from a BA2 or early BF1?

flip side of the controller/module

and the one that has me puzzled

believe all the other modules to be the same [they all say 10-way] and have the same colour sticker.

Thanks

Ps. we both have non-memory 6-way drivers seats in both our cars & i have the non-memory passenger seat as well. will be converting to memory seats at a later stage.

GT, based on this:
Is the “correct” rear (centre) diff bush BAF4B425SF or 8R2Z4B425AB ? The first one looks more solid but that’s no guarantee it’s a better prospect.
