Don't worry mate, I'll be there.
Getting back to Falcon XR8, we are seeing some great stuff. 9" rears means R-Spec suspension is highly likely, and she should get off the line pretty quickly with all that traction. That, paired with the Brembos as standard and the 1600kg towing limit strongly point to a supercharger omitted on Ford's website. It is everything I was hoping it would be and more, even with the minimal changes with the interior. The only option on the XR8 is metallic paint. Everything else appears to be standard, which is great from an equipment point of view, but has me worried about the final cost. If Ford can keep it under $60K onroad, it should sell well. If they can get close to the $55K mark, I'll be stoked. This will be a big step up from the Ghia, but my wife has been on me for ages to get a real car and ditch the old man wheels, so bring it on.

Oh yeah baby! Ford fixed their website: '5.0L 32V VCT SC V8'
That's what I wanted to hear. Now giz a price and let's get this party started.

Yeah, I saw that. The Specs still list the XR8 as a 6 cylinder, and there are a few other little issues like that. But we now have confirmation on the supercharger, straight from the horses mouth.
I think this thing will be off the hook, going out with a bang.

Each to their own but I really like the tan trim, if they offered it on the XR8 i'd be one very happy boy. But the black with the red stich might look great to when I see the whole car.

Its actually black, with grey inserts on the bolsters, red xr logo and red stitching. I thought they looked superb.

I notice in todays press release, Falcon Sedan and G6E are described as having "Light Limestone upper environment" whilst G6ET and XR having "Black upper environment".
For all those moaning for a Black headlining, here it is.

The point of the system is that you can see the blind spot light without having to turn your head, therefore if the light is on, no need to take your focus away from the vehicles in front of you. If there is no light then you can proceed to do your normal head check. Pretty simple... Quote:
The new falcon update will no doubt be a great car, but I think everyone knows that out of the 9,000+ who have posted here, less than 5% of them will actually front the cash to support the product they push. If I had the means to have a new xr6t next to my ST on the driveway I would.

Like it or not, looking over your shoulder before changing lanes is the ONLY way to ensure you are not wiping out a motorcyclist.
Anything less is lazy and brainless.

I will not be purchasing either, primarily for the exterior styling. The interiors both look great and the tech is much better considering their budget, but for me they failed big time with the aesthetics

But more on topic, the new XR8 looks amazing. And there will be either an XR8 or G6ET in the driveway come mid next year. |

It will have a black headliner, we've already seen the black A-pillars in a spy photo. I think it's a smart move- it's easy (cheap) for them to implement and will change the feel of the cabin, particularly for those who are used to FGs.

Its a shame that black headlining is coming out so late in the production cycle. Still, will make a nice upgrade for FG owners.
