I think EcoLPI was dropped in G6E so cabbies couldn't get hold of them and give them the whole 'cabbie' impression. As well as being cheaper too.

So working on those numbers they will only have about 14-15 months worth of autos. So if you want a turbo or XR8 with an auto I wouldn't be leaving it to long to talk to a dealer!! I'd love a XR8 with the G6ET interior but the XR interior isn't to bad either. |

[QUOTE=Blueford260;5221362]I forgot about the utes
So working on those numbers they will only have about 14-15 months worth of autos. So if you want a turbo or XR8 with an auto I wouldn't be leaving it to long to talk to a dealer!! Can't see those wanting manuals having an issue getting one even in 2016. 2 years is quite some time. If ford can't keep up with demand due to lack of staff should be easy enough to get some fill ins. That's given that they are making a profit on every FGX sold. If they selling at a loss they won't give a **** how many they are making less will be better. An auto XR6 turbo @ 50k would surely be making a profit lol run out FG2's goin for under 40k in some places!! |

Wheels magazine Facebook page reporting that the cost of the base Falcon will be $35,900. XR6 models between $3,045 & $4,400 cheaper while G6ET drops $9,685.

I see just now manual versions of the base ute (C/C and SSB) and XR6 Cab Chassis have been deleted from the range.

Looking at the pricing chart that Russell has posted, it would appear that an auto XR6T with luxury pack is more expensive than a G6ET. I guess that makes the G6ET a bit of a bargain (as long as you're not put off by no LSD).

Plus, let's face it - most taxis nowadays are electric Toyotas.

Interesting there is no XR8 price, seems odd to release the rest but not the 8.

My guess the XR8 will be $10k on top of the XR6T prices.

What's it got brembos, leather, luxury pack, alloy spare and suspension.
Prices above say 2100 + 2600 + 250 + suspension + brembos + v8 premium. 5k for the options we do know about, 2k for brembos, 1k for suspension 10k on top of xr6t sounds reasonable.

Fun fact: Cabbies buy second hand cars, they love ex-gov auctions too. Cabbies also don't just look at factory LPG either, they are quite happy to install aftermarket kits.

From what I understand most cab owners prefer aftermarket LPG, it's easier to service, and their mechanics know it all backwards.

Ford are closing down dude, they have to limit things left on shelves. They would have looked at average sales over the past years and worked on a number, then put through an order. Ford aren't out to win the sales race with the falcon, they are giving it a final send off, but they are a buiness and selling all rather then having stuff left over is the goal.

I hope they keep building manual xr6t and xr8's, if they end up running out of auto's...as i plan on buying a 2015 or 2016 xr6t or xr8 (with a manual trans) either victory gold or kinetic blue...will have to see them in the flesh first.

On ford site stock FGX G6ET $51000 on road so with a claimed saving of $9600 from wheels on this model they saying some people were paying over 60K for a FG2 G6ET? I bet whoever paid that felt like a goose when u could buy a fully optioned F6 for well under 60 lol

All the new G6E taxis I've seen now aren't even resprayed, they're bought factory silver given the government deregulation in Melbourne.
Talking about Silver Service here.
